For Sale is my 2008 Ford F-250 4x4 XLT Pickup. I originally purchased the truck from a friend in Oklahoma and no longer have enough use to justify keeping it so it is time to sell. It has 107k miles on it, the majority are highway miles, and it looks, runs, and drives excellent. There are 0 issues with the truck whatsoever. It has the 6.4L Diesel with 350HP 650lb-ft. torque and the 5 Speed Torqshift Trans. The 4x4 works great with electronic shift on the fly. Cold AC. Exterior is Alpine White with no noticeable dents, dings, or damage other then the typical highway chips you would expect on a truck with 100k on it. Interior is the greyish-tan and is in excellent condition, no holes in the seats or carpet at all. Other options include: Hitch and Tow Package w/Built-In Brake Control, Power Mirrors, Windows, Locks, etc., Spray-In Bedliner, CD/MP3 Player, Tinted Windows, Full-Length Stepbars, etc. Engine oil and all filters/fluids were just serviced. Tires have PLENTY of tread left.
Any questions or to schedule to come see it please Ebay message me or call 856-889-5482. I have a CLEAN and CLEAR title in hand. REASONABLE offers will be considered. Deposit of $1000 within 24 hours of purchase required. Remaining balance must be paid within 7 days. I accept bank checks, wire and cash. Bank checks MUST clear first. Chevy Silverado frame twist test a marketing victory versus Ford
Thu, 16 Oct 2014The pickup market is so competitive that all three major American makers are constantly trying to find a way to prove their product is the best. The new 2015 Ford F-150 is grabbing headlines at the moment by winning awards and posting segment best numbers. But in a new video, Chevrolet is taking aim squarely at the 2015 F-250 Super Duty in a battle of heavy-duty truck supremacy against the 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD... well, in a single metric anyway.
The big numbers from pickups often come down to payload, towing rating and fuel economy, but for this test, Chevy and Howie Long are challenging the torsional rigidity of the trucks' frames, specifically which one flexes less. Long plays the everyman here having the Chevy engineer explain what's going on in the tests. Unsurprisingly for a video on Chevy's official YouTube page, the 2500HD wins out by a good margin. The company also reports that similar results as shown here have been certified in third-party testing.
Check out the video to see the full test. While this might seem like a marketing win for Chevy, Ford isn't immune to it, either. In 2009, the Blue Oval uploaded a similar video comparing the flex under 225 pounds of weight from the bare frames of the F-150, Chevy Silverado, Dodge Ram (as it was still called at the time) and the Toyota Tundra. The results fell in the Blue Oval's favor, as you can see here.
Reborn Ford Escort could make its way to Europe
Fri, 26 Apr 2013The Ford Escort concept just unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show was created with the Chinese market in mind, but it's got people talking all over the world. Not purely fancy, the point of the Escort concept was to give Chinese buyers a preview of what they could expect to see in a Ford showroom in the near future. If Ford wasn't seriously considering the new Escort for other countries, a report in Auto Express indicates that the concept's reception has changed all that.
No less than the incoming chairman of Ford UK said "it could work in other places," bolstering the comments of "a senior Ford insider" who said the question of bringing the car to Europe to slot in underneath the Focus had been raised. That's a long way from anything of the kind happening, which would require Ford to figure out how to sell it for the right price and not torpedo the company reputation among Euro buyers. In any case, we'd be as intrigued as anyone if an Escort resurrection created the next 'who knew?' market segment of few-frills transportation offered by non-Asian carmakers.
Ford hiring 800 more salaried workers than originally expected
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is on a roll this year, with excellent quarterly earnings and better-than-expected vehicle sales leading to 800 more job opportunities with the Blue Oval. In January, Ford announced that it wanted to hire 2,200 salaried employees, but, since then, that figure has been revised to 3,000, representing a 36-percent increase over original projections. About 1,500 of those jobs remain, 80 percent of which are technical professional positions.
"Engineers and technical professionals are in as much demand as our cars, trucks and SUVs," says Felicia Fields, Ford Group Vice President for Human Resources. Helping to spur this job growth are increasing market share on both the West and East Coast and robust demand for the Ford Escape and F-150.
To find job candidates, Ford is reaching out to them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to the company's corporate career site. The Blue Oval is also ramping up its presence on college campuses.
