1978 Ford F-250 4x4 Supercab Ranger. This is an original old truck, It can be used as a daily driver or can easily be restored. I found this truck sitting on a farm in Eastern Wa. and was going to restore, but then found an old suburban that would better suit the familys needs. It has a 400 V8, 4 speed manual, Dana 60 front axle and 70 rear. The truck runs and drives good. It has a new battery and rebuilt carb. Drives very straight. The A/C appears to be complete but does not work. The windshield is cracked, the rest of the glass is good. Also the auxiliary tank does not work but is complete as well. It has a 5th wheel hitch in the bed. It has very minimal rust for the year! I removed the floor mat so you can see. The drivers side floor pan has only surface rust so is good to go. The passenger side floor board does have a couple holes and should be patched. Their is also a spot behind the rear quarter lower panel that needs patched as you can see in the pics. It has small dings and such in the body. The tailgate has been replaced at one point but isnt a perfect one. Has some dings and dents in the bed. A couple of the stake pockets need some love. This is a very good original rare truck but needs restored to be really nice, or drive it as is. Winning bidder must place a $500 non refundable paypal deposit within 12 hrs of auction close. The remainder must be payed in 7 days from close of auction.Truck must be picked up within 14 days unless arranged otherwise. Amazon looking to bring Kindle to your next car?

The online retailer and digital media monolith recently announced the Amazon Cloud Player, an application for Ford Sync that allows users to stream media from their Amazon Cloud account directly to a Ford vehicle. This foray into automotive technology got the minds at Gigaom.com thinking about what could be next for Amazon. As Kevin Fitchard writes, the logical step is to make audio versions of your Kindle library selections available in your car. As he points out, Amazon has already laid the groundwork for such a move.
Amazon pulled the sheets back on Whispersync for Voice last year. The tech pairs ebooks with an Audible book for a small extra fee, allowing users to either read along with a narrator or switch between audio and text versions on command. Fitchard says it wouldn't be some great leap to apply the same principles to a car, where voice recognition software would allow users to pause or select chapters without ever taking their eyes off of the road.
It all sounds just fine to us, but Amazon hasn't said a thing about such a move. Still, we wouldn't be surprised to see the company come down this road in the near future just the same.
Experts wonder if aluminum F-150 gives Ford a real advantage
Mon, 17 Mar 2014There's no doubt that Ford is taking a risk in producing the body of its upcoming new F-150 pickup truck in aluminum. What is up for debate, however, is whether aluminum was a wise risk to take in the first place. Wards Auto took the opportunity to poll some experts on the subject of aluminum versus steel in the automotive sector, with somewhat unsurprising results.
Richard Schultz, a project consultant at Ducker Worldwide, which bills itself as "a leading aluminum industry consultant (though they also deal in steels), suggests that the potential drawbacks to aluminum - higher costs, lower supply - aren't really impediments to the auto industry's increased acceptance of the lightweight metal.
Similarly, Randall Scheps, global automotive marketing director for Alcoa, a massive aluminum producer, counters claims that aluminum is less safe for vehicle occupants, suggesting that the use of aluminum can actually increase safety as it could potentially allow for larger vehicles with more crush space than steel.
2015 Ford Mustang spied on video for the first time

Earlier this month, we brought you the first spy photos of a next-gen Mustang prototype out testing, and even though expertly placed cladding concealed the pony car's new shape, we could tell that underneath was hiding an altogether new form inspired by the Evos Concept from 2011.
Today we give you some video of what looks to be the same Mustang prototype, which you can watch below, and while the budding director behind the camera wasn't able to capture much in the way of the engine's audio signature, we can see the car in motion for the first time and compare its relative size and shape to the S197 Mustang GT that's on its tail.
