for auction is a 02' f-350 4x4 crew cab, with a 14k tag trailer and a 75xt case skid steer package.  ( package deal only, don't ask to separate).  the truck came from southern Texas and is rust free. It is 4 wheel drive, and has a 10' knapenheid utilty bed that  has a spray-in bed liner. the interior is clean, it has leather buckets in the front and vinyl bench in the rear. ( I have the original front vinyl bench if the buyer wants it).  the truck runs well and has relatively low hours for the year. the tires were all new within the last year.     The trailer is a 18' tag with a 4' beaver tail and has a 14k capacity.  the tires and brakes are great.  the deck has had the outside boards replaced.  the ramps were bent by the previous owner, but still function fine.  the paint is descent, but there is some rust spots starting to bleed through.     the loader is a mid 2000's case 75 xt skid steer.  it has 6600 hours but is about the tightest loader that I have ever used.  it has been taken care of and I am the second owner.  The first, I was told, was a dairy operation, who used it to scrape out their cattle lots every morning thus the hours.  The engine runs out great, and I recently changed all the fluids and filters and tightened the drive chains. the tires are around a year old and in great shape with no plugs. it comes with a 84" low profile heavy duty GP bucket.  any question fel free to call 7402251298 ask for sean.  item is located in marion ohio, an hour N of Columbus

Ford blamed in drug mule lawsuit

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

If a college student is caught smuggling drugs across the border, one might think the kid got what was coming to him. But when a Mexican student at the University of Texas in El Paso was caught by Border Patrol agents with duffel bags filled with marijuana in his trunk, the man used a classic excuse: He claimed they weren't his.
While a claim like that is almost unbelievable, Ricardo Magallanes, the student, is now suing Ford for handling its vehicles' key codes negligently enough to allow drug smugglers to break into his Ford Focus and stash the drugs, The Daily Caller reports. The twist here is that four other people who lived in Juarez and worked in El Paso were involved in the same type of scheme - allegedly unwittingly, just like Magallanes - and all the cars were Fords except one model from General Motors. FBI agents also found an employee at a Dallas Ford dealership that had accessed the key codes to all four of the cannabis-stuffed Fords.
While we all may not own Fords, the case still causes us slight paranoia. We'll definitely be checking our trunks before we cross any more international borders.

Jay Leno takes a Surfin' Safari in a 1937 Ford Woodie Restomod

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

Woodie wagons were a major part of surfing culture in the 1960s, offering coastal style and a ton of room, and they even earned a mention in the Beach Boys' classic song Surfin' Safari. This week, Jay Leno's Garage takes a look at two modern, restomodded examples of these style icons.
Unlike a lot of restomods, builder Scott Bonowski keeps these wagons looking almost completely stock on the outside, and all of the upgrades are hidden underneath the timber. You can't tell by looking at it, but the '37 Woodie (pictured above) has independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes and a Ford 5.0-liter V8 under the hood.
Beyond the mechanical aspect, the craftsmanship into the wood is astounding. Bonowski claims there are between 30 and 50 coats of varnish on this wagon. It makes these woodies as much of a piece of fine furniture as a vehicle to drive.

Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect is worth more if we keep it in the box

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

If the 2014 Transit Connect is anything like it's utile current-generation predecessor, and we suspect it is, it will undoubtedly be one of the most functional vehicles in North America. Ford has used the occasion of SEMA to turn the TC in to things that both make use of that functionality, and occasionally sort of wreck it in the name of good old-fashioned fun. The Ford Hot Wheels Transit Connect most certainly falls into that second category.
Most TC owners might cite the vehicle's massive cargo capacity as its top positive trait, though in the case of this wide-bodied Transit said space has been sapped in the name of a 55-inch television screen, a massive Hot Wheels drag strip (continuing a popular theme at SEMA this year) and custom storage for dozens of models from one's personal hot wheels collection. Designers have also plucked the grippy Recaro seats from the Focus ST, and thrown in a pair of 18-inch tablet screens for connectivity on the go.
Naturally, the Transit Connect wouldn't be an appropriate SEMA vehicle, or Hot Wheels name-bearer, if it weren't wearing an eye-popping appearance package. Additional homage to the Focus RS can be found in the blazing blue and orange front fascia and bumpers, while 20-inch wheels make sure the wider (four-inches in front and six-inches in the back) Transit Connect sits just right. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder-engine that powers the Hot Wheels TC ensures that the concept is more show than go, but you probably had that pegged from your first look, anyway.
