THE GOOD:
V8 - 289 hipo.
High performance cam.

Custom stainless steel exhaust. Sounds AWESOME!
Eldebrock Performer intake with eldebrock 650 4 barrel.
C4 trans with shift kit.
B&M Megashifter - Rachet
Rear - 325 gears. New sway bars/bushings, etc.
Performance Gauges.
Custom Wheels.

Brand New Windshield.
Brand New 8 track am/fm radio
Brand New Interior.
Brand New stripe Kit.
Mechanically the car is 10 out of 10. Daily driver for the last 4 years. I can sit in 100 degree weather in Los Angeles traffic and the temp won't go above 180.Car was originally from Kansas City but spent the majority of its life in Southern California so it's solid. See pics of underneath.Awesome Car! Get's thumbs up everywhere. Reliable.I would drive this car across country.

THE BAD:Transmission has small leak by linkage. C4's are known for this. The O-ring cost's $2 but I don't have the means to put it in. Simple fix if you're mechanically inclined.
Small dent in passenger's read quarter - See pic.
Paint and body work are starting to show their age. Both rear lower quarters have some bubbling. Not bad - See pic.
Oil gauge is bad and causing a short. I've put two new sending units in and still nothing. This is causing the fuse to blow every once in a while. Blinkers, reverse lights and radio are all tide into same fuse.

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.

Riding along in Ford's bonkers Fiesta ST Global RallyCross car [w/video]

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

The Mountune-worked Fiesta ST GRC does 0-to-60 mph in 1.9 seconds.
On any given day, and every single weekend, there's at least one parking in the country invaded by manufacturer and team trucks. The be-chromed beasts and their 53-foot trailers are slotted into rows, men and women decorate the lot with orange cones to mark the invisible tracery of a temporary track, cars get unloaded, crews fret over them. The ritual can be as beautiful as the sunrise to those with enthusiast hearts, but it's just as common.

This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
