Here's a great running 2007 Ford Focus up for auction at no reserve. I've personally driven this vehicle nearly 150 miles with no issues getting around 30 mpg on the highway. Excellent tires and brakes on factory stock rims. Engines fires right up and transmission/clutch shift smoothly. AC works great just in time for summer! Body of car is very straight with a few small scratches in paint. No rips or tears in the interior. This is a very solid car overall. Vehicle has been smog checked and serviced recently and is ready to go. Extended warranty covering the engine/transmission for 3 months/3,000 miles available for an extra $25. If you're looking for a reliable compact sedan at a great price, you've found it!

Please, serious bidders only. This is a true no reserve auction with no fake sales or bidders. Highest bidder takes her home! Bidders with 0 and/or low feedback will need to make contact before bidding or it will be canceled. I reserve the right to cancel any bid for any reason. CA buyers will pay smog ($50+8.25 cert), $55 doc, DMV transfer fee of $15, and CA sales tax (rate depends on your home city). I will waive the doc fee if you are interested in doing the DMV transfer on your own.

Out-of-state buyers will pay smog ($50+8.25 cert) as vehicle has already been tested and $55 doc to cover paperwork and delivery of title. Vehicle will need to be shipped to avoid paying CA sales tax. I will waive doc fee if you travel to CA to pickup vehicle. PLEASE do not win the auction, and then ask "how much does it cost to ship the vehicle" 2 days later!!

Non-refundable deposit of $300 due immediately at auction end. PLEASE contact me immediately after auction ends to discuss completing the transaction. Vehicle must be picked up the next day unless arrangements are made beforehand. PLEASE DO NOT BID if you are not a serious buyer and have no intention of buying this car!

Mileage will vary as I'm currently driving this vehicle. I do live in the SGV, so if viewing the vehicle in that area is convenient for you, please let me know. If you have any questions, please call me at 951.479.8575.

Ford reflects on radical Mustang concept that never reached showrooms

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

The Ford Mustang that we all know and love made major waves in the auto industry way back in 1964 by offering style and reasonable pricing with optional V8 power. Its long hood and short rear deck, combined with a low-slung and sporty cockpit, made a lasting impression in the minds of consumers and car designers alike, and its basic shape has so endured the test of time that it's still in use today.
This being the case, you may be interested to know that the first Mustang of 1964.5 wasn't actually the first Mustang at all, being preceded by a concept car that made its public debut in 1962. This concept was nothing like the car that would eventually make it into production, with a radical wedge shape and a small V4 engine sitting behind the car's two occupants, driving the rear wheels. In other words, the conceptual Mustang was pretty much the complete opposite of the production Mustang besides the name.
Ford has kindly decided go through its massive archive to bring the original Mustang concept back into the public eye. The company goes so far as to pose this question to fans of the pony car: "Should we borrow a few of these style elements for the next iteration of the Mustang?" Autoblog Podcast #317:

Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least

Fri, 06 Dec 2013

Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
