!959 Ford has rare fe motor with solid lifters and adjustable rockers from Ford. Engine is stuck, but I have just taken heads off, rare machined combustion chambers, and I am sure I can get it apart. I do not know if it needs to be bored yet, but I would figure a bore job and new pistons. Also it would accept a 390 crank. I have almost all straight stainless for car except bottom drivers side rear quarter and top of left front fender and left front door. It needs a right door skin floor patched in front where your heals are at. both inner rockers outer rockers. bottom of left and right quarters and some inner quarter repairs floor pans in rear seat are ok.I have seat covers out of an inca gold convertible interior (used) but nice. Remove inca gold material and sew red as interior was red and black. The inca gold seat covers are originally abc interior. White and black is as new. Door panel have original red and black poor cond. and pretty fair ones out of 2 door sedan 59 original. It has a cruiseomatic trans cond. unknown. Scored windshield in two spots extreme left of windshield. It is not in frontal view ,but to one side. I will polish out some. I have repairable front fenders for car as well as front and back rechromeable bumpers. Bumpers on car are very poor.Dash and column have been disassembled some what, but I believe parts are all in the car. Car has factory power steering. I have a pump for the engine, but it is not on the engine. Both washboards are shot as are the front fender clamshells. The glass I believe to be all good except for scored windshield which may or may not be acceptable to you. I can find no holes in the frame. I restored a 59 convertible 20 years ago and this one is much better then the one I did and I am still driving it today. It is a project. The car has no wiper motor on it, I have a vaccum wiper motor for it. Has a town and country radio which I have no idea if it functions, electric clock also. Five steel rims. Call if you have questions. Also will deliver car and and parts for 1.00 a mile. Car is for sale locally.THANKS FOR LOOKING PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS IT IS A PROJECT ,BUT HAS REAL POTENTIAL TO BE A SPECIAL CAR. SERIOUS BIDDERS PLEASE, THANK YOU AND MAY ALL YOUR CARS BE FAST AND BEAUTIFUL.
On Oct-10-13 at 21:36:47 PDT, seller added the following informat. . about the engine if you build it right the right cam crank pistons etc. you can have over 400 hp it does not have 400 hp now not even close nor does . I would gladly visit with anyone that would like to discuss these issues. These are ideas for this project not an actual fact. I can add to this add before someone bids I can not change the wording of the description, but hopefully this makes it clear , I believe it is a rare 58- 332cu in with solid lifters and machined high port heads. I am checking to see if I am correct with someone that should know these things. I could be wrong but I do not think I am at present.

EPA says fuel economy test for hybrids is accurate
Mon, 26 Aug 2013
The EPA says it stands behind its fuel economy test for hybrid vehicles following controversy about the testing process after Ford C-Max Hybrid customers and automotive journalists alike struggled to achieve 47 miles per gallon, the advertised mpg number, Automotive News reports. Ford responded to the issue almost two weeks ago by claiming that a 1970s-era EPA general label rule was responsible for the inaccurate mileage numbers, rerating the C-Max Hybrid's mpg numbers and offering customers rebates. Ford later said it didn't overstate the C-Max Hybrid's fuel economy and that it was surprised by the low numbers.
Ford technically didn't do anything wrong because it was following the general label rule, but agency regulator Christopher Grundler says the automaker was exploiting a loophole when it came up with the hybrid C-Max numbers, and that the testing process remains accurate. The general label rule allows vehicles that use the same engine and transmission and are in the same weight class to share fuel economy numbers, but it doesn't take into account other factors such as aerodynamic efficiency, which affects hybrids more drastically than non-hybrid vehicles. Ford originally used the Fusion Hybrid economy figures for the C-Max Hybrid and claimed the engineers didn't realize that its aerodynamic efficiency would affect fuel economy as much as it did.
Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.
Ford jumps back in the water with marinized 6.2L V8
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Nameplates like the Mercury Mariner and Lincoln Navigator aside, Ford hasn't offered a marine engine in over two decades. But through a new partnership with one of the biggest names in the business, the Dearborn-based automaker is dipping its proverbial toes back in the water.
Announced yesterday at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new partnership between Ford Component Sales and Indmar Marine Engines will see the 6.2-liter V8 from the F-150 SVT Raptor and F-Series Super Duty marinized for use in boats.
The largest privately owned inboard gasoline marine engine manufacturer in the world, Indmar has been in the business for 43 years, and figures the Ford V8 will be just what watersport enthusiasts are looking for to tow waterskiers and wakeboarders to their hearts' content.
