Here is a chance to own a beast of a car! The car started life as a 390/3spd on the column but now has a center oiler 427/4spd in it. The car is a two owner car, it was purchased from the original owners son. Car was bought new in GA and spent alot of its life in storage in Florida. The car has had one re-paint and looks to have never been in any kind of accident. There is no rust in the floors, truck or any where else we could find. We bought the car with the intentions of driving it but my father has health issues and its time to thin the herd. It has less than 200 miles on it since the drive train upgrade. This is like having an "R" code for half the money!

Drive Train- 1966 427 center oiler, solid lift cam, pertonics ignition, aluminum fly wheel, Crites headers, David Kee fresh rebuild top loader with hurst shifter, new exhaust, 3.50 rear gear, new power brakes (drum).

Interior- New seat covers in the factory upholstery, new carpet, correct shifter tunnel, door panels, headliner, dash all in great condition for original.

Body- Paint is in great shape, has a few flaws but nothing that needs attention now. We wanted to keep it looking older but not beat up looking. The car was painted 25yrs ago and like I said looks great!

Glass-All glass in great condition, no cracks, no fogging

Chrome-Bumpers are like new, stainless has a few very small dings in it. You will be very pleased for sure!

Tires-Wheels and tires are brand new, painted to match rims, 15x6 front 15x8 rear

Car drives like a dream and has tons of power! The original drivetrain is available if wanted. Car is for sale local and can be taken off at any time. Please call Todd (813) 917-9644 for any questions, please no low ball offers and NO trades! Thanks for looking

Ford Focus RS ready to make our hot hatch dreams real

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Ford's current hot hatch siblings the Fiesta ST and Focus ST are already two pretty great entries into the segment, but there's always a desire for a little more. Thankfully, it looks like the Blue Oval is ready to satiate that need because it's continuing to test the even more powerful Focus RS around Europe. According to our spy shooters, these shots come from near the Nürburgring.
As with previous photos, Ford engineers continue to heavily camouflage the front end of the RS prototypes, but there's a big difference here. Unlike earlier ones, this example appears to have a closer-to-production-ready front bumper rather than just a horizontal strip for the license plate. That may point to development getting somewhat closer to wrapping up. Although, this one lacks the larger rear wing from prior testers, and the exhaust also appears to be a work in progress with the rear diffuser covered in mesh in these latest shots.
The RS is rumored to be using the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Mustang, but power is reportedly turned up from 310 horsepower in the 'Stang to somewhere between 325 hp and 350 hp for the Focus. Routing all that just through the front wheels could be a recipe for serious torque steer, and all-wheel drive is potentially being used for better traction.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible to recreate Empire State Building stunt

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

It would have been all too easy to miss the auto show debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang convertible. It was, after all, unveiled alongside its fixed-roof counterpart at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, lumping coupe and cabrio into one debut. But Ford is evidently still intent on making its new droptop stand out. The top of the Empire State Building ought to do the trick.
Automotive history buffs may recall that, 50 years ago, Ford unveiled its first Mustang convertible atop what was then the tallest building in the world, that Art Deco icon of the New York skyline. Half a century later, Ford is recreating the feat and bringing the new topless Mustang to the same observation deck on the building's 86th floor.
Getting it up there, of course, will be no easy task. While they'd usually airlift the vehicle onto the roof or lift it by crane, the spire protruding from atop the building makes approaching the narrow observation deck too dangerous, and no mobile crane can telescope the thousand-plus feet it would take to get the pony car up there.

Are you a new Ford Mustang SVO? [w/video]

Fri, 16 May 2014

When Ford announced that its 2015 Mustang would arrive with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, three letters came to mind: SVO. While Ford hasn't said a word regarding the rebirth of a Mustang SVO model, this latest set of spy shots shows us something very, very interesting. Allow us to explain.
The Mustang prototype in these photos looks very similar to the GT500 test cars we've spotted before - same bulging hood, aggressive front fascia and air vents aft of the front wheels. What's different, however, is around back. Have a look at the exhaust, and note that instead of the GT500's usual quad pipes, two of the exhaust outlets have been capped off.
Our spies point out that these exhaust outlets could be closed for some sort of emissions testing or another engineering reason, but it's also important to note that the engine and exhaust notes of this car sound completely different from earlier GT500 prototypes. We've got a video below that compares the two.
