Has Brand new fuel tank, fuel lines, all 4 drum brakes are 100% replaced new lines and all, starter, fuel pump, headliner, black interior carpet. Has great tires and nice wheels and caps. Lots of body work has been done (sanding, priming, ect). All glass is good, windows roll, wipers good. Engine Size 4.7 L, 289 Engine Type V8Fuel Type GasolineAutomatic Cruise-O-Matic I have done the body and mechanical work that I could do. The car now needs to be taken to someone who has the tools to adjust the carb. and distributor and get the timing correct. Car starting up but do to the timing and carb/distributor needing adjusted I can only keep it in park to run it and rev it up. I have put lots of hours and $$$ into it but I just can't continue to spend the time on it."

Reborn Ford Escort could make its way to Europe

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

The Ford Escort concept just unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show was created with the Chinese market in mind, but it's got people talking all over the world. Not purely fancy, the point of the Escort concept was to give Chinese buyers a preview of what they could expect to see in a Ford showroom in the near future. If Ford wasn't seriously considering the new Escort for other countries, a report in Auto Express indicates that the concept's reception has changed all that.
No less than the incoming chairman of Ford UK said "it could work in other places," bolstering the comments of "a senior Ford insider" who said the question of bringing the car to Europe to slot in underneath the Focus had been raised. That's a long way from anything of the kind happening, which would require Ford to figure out how to sell it for the right price and not torpedo the company reputation among Euro buyers. In any case, we'd be as intrigued as anyone if an Escort resurrection created the next 'who knew?' market segment of few-frills transportation offered by non-Asian carmakers.

Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.

New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'

Sun, 08 Jun 2014

Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.
