This is a very nice 1964 Galaxie 500XL 2DR HT Originally from Louisiana and sold new at Donaldson Ford in Sulphur Louisiana . I have the original owners manual with the signature of the new car buyer and the signature of Mr Donaldson the new Ford dealer. The car has been here in western N.Y. for several years and always garage kept and never driven in the bad weather. The car runs and drives excellent. It has nice red interior in excellent condition. Carpet looks new. Power steering. I charged the air conditioning last summer and it worked great, but only for a couple days so it has a leak. I have not tried to trace it. The good news is that it did work very good and was very cold. Has the original radio and also a after market cass player am & fm radio  that was just taped on the console so can be removed without damaging  any thing. It was painted a few years ago wimbledon white and still looks very nice. I believe it is the original color. Bumpers were chromed and show excellent.   This car won a trophy at a large show last summer. The motor was rebuilt some years ago and I have the receipt. It says remove, rebuild ford 352 convert to 390 with performance cam and HU oil pump. So I believe it is numbers matching but it was built to 390 specks. I'm not a mechanic, so not sure how that all works. The car has plenty of power and starts right up and sounds and runs great. I have driven the car over 100 miles more then once with no problems at all. Tires are nice and has a nice set of wire wheel covers. Please feel free to come take a look and a test drive. We are a N.Y. stare dealer and we do take trades. If you live in N.Y. we will give you a new N.Y. state inspection. Car is sold as is were is.

Bill Ford augments his power by nearly doubling stake of supervoting shares

Fri, 28 Jun 2013

Bill Ford Jr. has more sway than ever over the automaker that bears his surname, as the great-grandson of Ford's founder has reportedly doubled is holdings of Class B Ford stock. According to a report from Reuters (which cites a newly discovered securities filing), he acquired some 3.7 million Class B shares from an unnamed family member.
Class B shares of Ford stock are held by descendants of Henry Ford and offer expanded voting power to their holders - Bill Ford Jr. now controls roughly 11.5 percent of the total Class B pool. Ford Jr. is also a one of five trustees that manage a voting trust that oversees the majority of these "supervoting" shares. In total, Reuters reports there are 71 million Class B shares that account for 40 percent of the voting power in the company, despite making up just 2 percent of the total volume of all Ford stock.
Ford Jr. served as Ford's CEO until 2006, when he stepped down to hire and make space for current CEO, Alan Mulally. The move to consolidate Ford family voting power, at least somewhat, is seen by many as a comforting sign with Mulally's departure from the company likely to happen in the next several years.

2015 Ford Mustang option prices gallop onto the web

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

The 2015 Ford Mustang is one of the most anticipated cars of the year, despite the fact that production hasn't yet begun. What's a pony car fan to do? It turns out that Ford already has pricing and options information about the vehicle in its dealer ordering system. A few enterprising folks have snapped some pictures from it and have posted them online. You might not be able to drive your car yet, but you can at least see what it might cost.
At the moment, Ford appears to be splitting the Mustang into five models - 3.7-liter V6, 2.3-liter EcoBoost, GT with the 5.0-liter V8, 50th Anniversary and SVT. There are 10 available paint colors, 2 of which require an extra outlay. Triple Yellow is $495, and Ruby Red Tint is $395. Regardless of model, navigation goes for $795, and reverse parking assist is $295.
For both the EcoBoost and GT, the six-speed automatic tacks an extra $1,195 to the sticker, and adaptive cruise control is the same price. The GT also has a limited-slip 3.55 rear end for $395 and a GT Performance package for $2,495. Recaro leather seats add an extra $1,595. For the EcoBoost, there's something called EcoBoost Performance package for $1,995. The system doesn't say what the packages include.

2015 Ford Mustang revs it up at Cars & Coffee

Mon, 09 Dec 2013

Just because the new 2015 Ford Mustang has officially been released, you didn't think that would be the end of the matter - did you? Of course not. There'll still be plenty of rumors, reports and video footage to bring you. Like this, the first non-official footage of the new pony car in the wild.
Shot by YouTube user SotA1080 and dug up by our friends at CarBuzz, this clip shows the new Mustang posing for photos (alongside other Mustangs) and starting up its engine at the most recent gathering of Cars & Coffee in Irvine, CA. And this being the GT model, it's not packing the V6 or the turbo four, but the red-blooded 5.0-liter V8 that tells us and enthusiasts worldwide that the new Mustang has not lost its way. Scroll on down to watch the footage for yourself.
