One Of A Kind 1965 Beautiful Blue Drop Top Galaxie 500 on 2040-cars
Derby, Kansas, United States
This car is an absolute joy to drive roof up or down! The roof is brand new with a glass back window and the rebuild is 2 years old. The motor has 12,545 since the rebuild! American Racing Rims and tires have 2,100 miles on them! It has an Edelbrock 4bbl carb. It has stock exhaust manifolds but a nice little growl while it’s running! I am l a local building Contractor and I acquired this car as part of an agreement to build a large Addition to a customers home. He is an avid truck collector with many show trucks in his collection. He mainly collects old Mercury trucks so this particular car is out of place in his collection. I love this car but I am really a Thunderbird lover and just picked up a 1966 that is more my style! The roof is brand new with a back window made of glass not plastic! This car is slightly lowered. Seats are perfect, glass is perfect, paint is perfect. Tires and rims are excellent! This car is ready to show or just drive and enjoy all the compliments While I am selling this car I am not desperate to do so. It can sit in the garage until the right person and price come along! This car is up for auction again because of a winning buyer who wanted to make payments! If you do not have the money please do not bid! |

A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.
Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out
Wed, 11 Dec 2013With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.
Ford recalling nearly 5,700 2014 F-150s for power steering issue
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Ford is recalling 5,675 of its 2014 F-150 pickups over an issue with the electric power steering system. There haven't been any injuries or accidents due to the issue.
Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Autoblog that the "electric power-assisted steering and motor position sensor gear were incorrectly installed by a supplier," leading to the recall.
While the recall is larger on the surface, it's important to note that only 260 trucks have been delivered to customers. The remaining pickups are currently en route to dealers. The affected vehicles were manufactured between May 26 and June 19.
