ONLY SERIOUS BIDDERS PLEASE!!

If you are interested in the car then make a bid.  No reserve set.  The starting price is fair market value for this type of car.

This 1965 classic Mustang 2+2 Fastback is a great car.  Cars in this condition are not easy to come by.  This is a solid running, driving car.

This car has a clear Tennessee title.

I have owned this car for the last 5 years. I will answer any questions you have about it as honestly as I know how.  It has always been garage kept since I have owned it.  I have too many toys and something must go.

Let me state up front, this is not a show car.  If that is what you are expecting, then stop now.  It does have some flaws.  It is an older restoration.  If you were to restore this car, you could easily make money.  I have built, owned and sold enough of these cars to know it is desirable and getting much harder to find.

The paint is not perfect, but it is shiny and presentable.  It does have a few cracks which I have shown in pictures.  Don’t get me wrong, this car is a head turner.  It will get you noticed and it is fun to drive.

Lots of the parts are original.  Since I have owned the car I have made a few upgrades.  I cleaned & detailed the rear end and springs while working in this area.  I have added an aluminum radiator too.  Floor pans are solid.  I have replaced the driver side floor pan.  Also I added torque boxes to give the car added strength.  The 1965 Mustang did not have these so this is a nice upgrade.  I replaced the battery apron... old Mustangs are notorious for this being a problem area.  Please see pictures of all the mentioned areas.

A previous owner added the fiberglass hood with scoop, but it looks great on this car.  This is an A/C car but it has no belt.  Seats show some wear but are fine.  It also has an original console.

The car has the correct original motor which is a 289 4 bbl.  It has an automatic transmission.  It runs and drives very smooth.

The car has disc brakes and power steering which are original to the car.  It also has the desirable fold down seat which is original to the car.

If you are interested, you can ask any questions or make your bid.  Notice I blocked out the tag in any picture showing it.  Just wanted you to know there is nothing wrong with this area of the car if you notice that in the pictures.

2015 Ford Focus sedan shows its fresh face in New York

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

That handsome fellow you see above is the 2015 Ford Focus sedan. We liked the looks of the 2014 Focus, and the updates for 2015 only improve things to our eyes, with the adoption of the Aston Martin-inspired grille that has been permeating Ford's lineup these last few years. Sweeping, slightly bulbous headlamps join a revised, more demure lower grille opening to round out the styling updates up front. The rest of the car's look is just slightly massaged, including new taillamp clusters that look much like they did last year.
New for 2015 is the availability of Ford's 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. There's also a new SE Sport Package that adds more aggressive suspension tuning, paddle shifters (when equipped with Ford's six-speed dual-clutch automatic) and a few body kit bits and pieces. Rounding out the mechanical changes are an updated electronic steering rack that promises better feel, suspension tweaks to make the ride more comfortable and some software updates designed to make the dual-clutch gearbox better behave itself.
In addition, inside there are a few interior upgrades, as well as some added comfort and safety tech that includes available blind-spot detection and lane-keeping assist, along with other more incremental changes that all add up to a better vehicle. We suggest you check out the official press release below for all the details, but not before scrolling through our image gallery of live shots above.

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.

Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
