1965 Ford mustang convertible.. Barn Find ! Has been sitting,  Nice little project mustang ! Excellent father and son project. Instant equity mustang if you can do your own welding, body work and paint.. This is a true V-8 mustang. Is also a true manual transmission convertible.. I believe the engine and transmission in this mustang to be the Factory Ford Originals.. The entire drive train is believed to be Original to the mustang as a matter of fact.. I have not tried to start the engine but it is not locked up.

The engine turns over freely and is not stuck. Engine tag, trans tag, rear end tag all on mustang..

I did hook up a battery and here is what I found.

Electrical system is fine..  headlights come on, wipers work, courtesy lights work, blower motor works,he Brake lights and such just needs new bulbs and a good looking over.. The key will turn engine over and oil is clean

Clutch setup is free and does engage and disengage with pedal, Shifter and linkage is tight but free..

Someone started floor work years ago and never finished, and in my opinion should have never started them.  A good body man can whip this beauty back into shape quickly.. By the way the Original paint color of this mustang was Caspian Blue, a very sought after Factory color . The mustang needs to have someone do a nice floor pan job on the car. Needs complete restoration. Needs frame rail work, needs metal and body work, needs engine work but I bet a guy could have this one running in short order..

The convertible top is especially nice. Very nice condition, back window is also very nice and clear..The top latches work

All windows roll up and down except for passenger rear quarter window

The mustang wheels are not locked up, rolls and steers.

Clear Ohio Title, matching Original Ford door tag.. Original engine and transmission.. Nice little project. Happy bidding. Review my feedback and bid with confidence.

500.00 deposit at auction end please...  Please also full payment in 3 days. Deposit is non refundable..

Ford Focus ST, Fiesta ST buyers to get free Octane Academy driving school

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

The Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST have created plenty of excitement in the sport compact segment, and Ford is looking to make sure that owners are driving and enjoying their cars to the best of their abilities. As an added bonus for buying one of these sporty hatchbacks, Ford will provide a complimentary ST Octane Academy session to be held at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Attendees will be responsible for travel and lodging, but Ford will provide the driving school free of charge. Included in this two-day trip, ST owners will get class instruction and driving instruction in prepped Focus ST and Fiesta ST models on the track and autocross course. Some karting action will also be involved as will a tour of Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing headquarters located nearby. If this doesn't sound like enough fun, there is also an optional day of activities that includes some more track time in a Mustang GT and off-road instruction in an F-150 SVT Raptor.
Ford told us that those who have already purchased a Focus ST or Fiesta ST will still be able to attend the performance driving school, but the press release, which is posted below, makes it sound like it applies to original owners only. Ford has yet to announce its schedule for the ST Octane Academy or prices for additional activities or guests.

More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.

Ford supports bid for Detroit Rallycross race with Motown-minded Fiesta ST vid

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

As Ford continues its cheerleading effort to help bring the 2014 Summer X Games to its hometown of Detroit, MI, it has released footage of its 2014 Fiesta ST Rallycross car on location at some of the city's well-known landmarks. This video appears to have been shot around the same time as the previous X Games Detroit video was made, but it focuses 100-percent on rally car action.
With Ford Racing driver Andreas Eriksson behind the wheel, this Fiesta ST lays down some serious rubber atop Detroit's Cobo Hall parking structure, at Belle Isle and around the Michigan Central Depot. Detroit isn't alone in the bid for a three-year X Games contract as Chicago, Austin and Charlotte are also hoping to play host. The winning host city is expected to be announced this summer. Scroll down for Ford's two-minute video showing the Fiesta ST Rallycrossing through the Motor City.
