1990 Ford Mustang GT, 331 Stroker, 351 Windsor Heads, 1.6 Comp Cam Ultra Gold Aluminum roller rockers, Holley 750 Double pumper carb, Eldebrock rpm hi rise intake, msd plug wires, cam (not sure what size but sounds good), 5 speed transmission, new clutch, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and flywheel, 373 gears in rearend, hi flow fuel pump mounted outside the tank, BBK shorty header, BBK H-Pipe, flowmaster mufflers, no tailpipes, red exterior in good condition with a little clearcoat peeling on just the bumpers, 3 rust spots just starting (pictures included), black interior in really good shape, 5 inch tach, 3 small gauges for battery, oil pressure, and temperature, electric fan, push start with 3 switches installed for fan, fuel pump and ignition, cowl induction hood, weld rodlite rims, Mickey Thompson street slicks on rear, CD player, good inspection, no A/C, but it does have heat. I recently bought this car under the assumption that the one I was going to buy was sold but after buying this car I found out the other buyer for the other car I wanted backed out so that is the reason I am selling this one. The car does run good with lots of power but it is a used car so it is not in brand new condition. It has a slight miss under constant speed but it is do for a tune up and Im pretty sure the timing needs to be adjusted slightly, and the speedometer cable needs to be hooked up in the back of the instrument cluster. Ford hybrids getting update to improve fuel economy
Tue, 16 Jul 2013Ford has announced that it is introducing "calibration updates designed to improve on-road fuel economy for owners of the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid, 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid and 2013 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid."
We can speculate that these changes are at least due in part to lawsuits over mileage claims of hybrid vehicles. The automaker is enhancing 2013 models starting in August by raising their electric cruising speed to 85 miles per hour from 62 mph, optimizing the use of active grille shutters and the climate control system, shortening the engine warm-up period by 50 percent and reducing electric fan speed to minimize the fan's energy consumption.
It bears mentioning that Ford is doing pretty well in the US electrified vehicle market this year. The company claims to have grown its share in the segment by 12 points to 16 percent while taking a high number of Toyota Prius trade-ins in the process. Conversely, Toyota has experienced a five-percent drop in new-Prius sales over the same period. Additionally, Ford states that it has increased its share of the US vehicle market by one percent this year, more than any full-line automaker.
Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford
Thu, 22 May 2014It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.
