1996 Mustang Convertible Custom two tone Black Metallic over Red Candy with a silver stripe between the two. Very clean and straight Mustang with American Racing Wheels 18 x 8 wheels with 245/40 R18 tires. Tires on rear are new and the fronts have about 15-20% worn. Very clean interior with cassette and CD players. Power steering, brakes, windows, seats, cruise control, air bags.

This was a body shop front car for show and example for a few years and was on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2011. A/C works great and sound system is working very well. Handles excellent and is very tight. This car was stored in the winters for many years from what I was told and driven sparingly the last few years. Has a slight power steering wine when turning but mechanic said the pump was fine and full just a ford whine is all.

Has recently had the head gaskets done as there was a small coolant leak. Heads were machined and new head gaskets installed. New tires in the rear $2000.00 just recently.

This car is really clean for its age and is a blast to drive. Has newer dual exhaust and sounds great, not over powering but just right. Handles great!

Has two small holes in top but do not go all the way through. More of a wear hole.

Car is sold as is where is, please ask questions and check out the rest of the pictures. No warranty. I will help with pick up if using a auto transport.

Call Chuck @ 231-206-5467. During the day 8-5 I may have a harder time getting back right away but will for sure get back around 3pm lunch time. After 5 pm EST is better.

Ford 3D-printing Mustang out of chocolate and candy for Valentine's Day

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Is your beloved in love with the new 2015 Ford Mustang? Do they like chocolate (that's a trick question - everyone likes chocolate)? Are they a bit of a futurist? Then this Hallmark holiday, you need to get them this Ford Mustang, 3D-printed in sweet, delicious chocolate.
Ford is teaming with 3D Systems' Sugar Lab in LA to produce the super-accurate pony car confections in both chocolate and sugar candy varieties. The process kicked off with a CAD rendering of the 2015 Mustang, which was then programmed into the 3D printer. After a bit of work from the machine, a four-inch long, two-inch tall Mustang was the result. Why the tieup with 3D Systems, though?
"We wanted to create something fun to show that while 3D printing made these edible Mustangs, manufacturing-level 3D printing was used in the development of Ford's all-new sports car," said Paul Susalla, Ford's supervisor of 3D printing.

Ford to rebrand SVT as 999?

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Ford operates a number of performance divisions around the world. There's SVT in the US, Team RS in Europe and Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) in Australia. But the Blue Oval has been steadily integrating its performance operations into one unit, and here we might have our first indication of what it will be called.
A reader at Jalopnik sent in a survey in which respondents were asked to gauge the name for a new performance brand from a "major automotive manufacturer," and while the identity of that automaker was not disclosed, according to the survey, the automaker is considering the name 999 for its new go-fast unit.
As our compatriots point out, the 999 was Ford's first racecar, a rudimentary chassis with a 19-liter inline-four campaigned by Henry Ford around the turn of the 20th century. (Ford also used the number to designate a Fusion fuel-cell racer a few years back.) That could prove the tie-in Dearborn is looking for in rebranding its performance operations worldwide, replacing the letters SVT, RS and FPV globally under one name.

Ford profiles surprisingly affluent Focus ST buyers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

It comes as no surprise when Ford says that 32-percent of Focus ST buyers are under 35, but we weren't expecting this: the average annual salary of Focus ST buyers is $127,000. Twenty-two percent of non-ST Focus buyers are under 35, while their average annual salary is $67,000.
We like the Focus ST because it has 252 horsepower, is genuinely fun to drive and offers great value for performance-minded car enthusiasts; facts that are not lost on customers, it seems. Ford says that the Focus ST has the highest percentage of conquest sales for a non-hybrid model it sells, and that the top-four trade-ins are from Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and Toyota. Demand for the hot Focus is strongest in Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston and Orlando.
"[The Focus ST is] having this kind of halo effect for other vehicles we'd hoped for when we invested in the ST brand," says John Felice, vice president of US marketing, sales and service, because it's helping to boost sales of other Ford vehicles.
