For Sale is a 2001 Ford Mustang GT Convertible.  I've had this vehicle for less than a year and have put less
than 1000 miles on it.  I bought it from a friend who wanted the money so he could buy a different car.  There
were some the repairs the car needed.  So I replaced the clutch with an Exedy clutch.  The intake manifold had
a coolant leak, which apparently is common for these vehicles cause they're made out of plastic.  I replace that with a
used one that had less than 1000 miles on it.  I also put 2 new tires on the left side of this car because they
both had leaks.  I put a new battery in the car, which he had given to me, so not sure how new, but it's newer than the one
that was in it.  The car has rughly 109,000 on it.  I'm told it actually has less, but the mileage is a little skewed due
to the fact that he had put in 4.10 gears and the speedometer had never been recalibrated.  So when the car says 80mph
you're actually doing about 65mph.  The car has a few minor dings and scratches on it.  Ither than that, for a car that's 12 years old,
it looks pretty nice.  One of the major issues, which isn't terrible is the fact that the convertible top leaks in
the back corners.  I was never concerned about it cause I don't drive it in the rain and the car is garaged.  The
ford head unit was replaced with a JVC unit.  I will give the original with the car, but the 6 disc changer does
not work.  It can be sent out and fixed if you really like the factory look.  The car will be sold "AS IS".  The
car has not been driven long enough by me to know the goods and bads, but I do know that it has ran very well for me
in the time I've had it.  My plan was to basically flip the car and now it's your chance to get a nice car for a
decent price.  This vehicle also has an xpipe with no cats which gives it a nice sound.  The interior has normal wear
for the age of the vehicle.  There will be a $150 non-refundable deposit, due at end of bidding. That way if you bid and pass on the vehicle
or decide it's not what you wanted, I can cover my listing cost and time and effort.  Thanks and good luck bidding!!

I'm going to also try the sell this vehicle locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime.  Thanks

Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.

NHTSA investigating 725k Ford, Mercury vehicles for stalling issue

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Owners of Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models, listen up. According to a report on Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into these four vehicles totaling an estimated 725,000 units. The investigation appears to center around a malfunctioning throttle body on non-hybrid models of the 2005-2012 Escape and 2011-2012 Fusion. With Mercury dying off after the 2011 model year, this probe will also apply to the 2005 through 2011 Mariner and the 2011 Milan. There has been some discussion around the Escape stalling issue for some time now, but this investigation appears to be larger in scope than before.
Though not a recall yet, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 123 complaints of stalling or surging vehicles, while Ford itself has logged 1,472 complaints. The investigation report, which is posted below, seems to indicate that a faulty circuit board for the throttle body could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode, which, according to NHTSA, could cause complaints of both stalling and surging.

Ford dominates most-stolen SUV list

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

The Ford Escape leads the NICB's list with 1,421 examples stolen.
If you drive a recent Ford SUV or crossover, you may want to keep a watchful eye out for thieves - especially if you live in the New York metro area or in Detroit. A new study from the National Insurance Crime Bureau has named three Ford models as the most likely vehicles in their genre to be stolen, with CUVs in general being especially attractive to bandits.
