2004 Competition Orange Cobra.."The Terminator" This is one of the 281 Competition Orange Cobra's ever produced. As
well this was the lowest production number Cobra Ford has ever Produced and the last year of the Cobra. I purchased
this car from the owner of one of the largest Ford dealers in Florida in 2007. This was one of his personal cars
and I had to bug him for over 3 months to get him to let go of her. The car is gorgeous, as clean underneath as it
is on top. She has never been driven in the Rain, Snow or on salty Roads. I've always stored the car during the
winters in my garage on the lift. Other then a few chips on the bumper and hood and not the best stereo the car is
perfect. Adult owned and driven since New. I'd have to say she is one of the cleanest 04's left and one of the
nicest 04 Competition Orange Cobras left in existence. All the work done by myself and tuned by Frank Soldridge at
PSI. Here are a few of the things I've done to her. I'm sure I'll leave somethings out I've forgotten but here are
some off the top of my head.
Stiegemeier Stage 5 Ported Blower
2.8 Upper with 4lb Lower
BBK 65mm Throttle Body
BBK Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers
Moroso Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank
Moroso Aluminum Intercooler Tank
Ford Motor Custom drive shafts
EBC Brakes
04 Cobra Pro 5.0 T-56 shifter
Twin Steeda intake fuel pumps
Magnaflow Exhaust
I built this car to be reliable everyday and make lots of power...all most all the miles are from driving it back
and forth during the summer from my farm in Pennsylvania to my second home in Colorado.

Ford EcoBoost smashes records at Daytona
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Some mighty machines have lapped the banks of the Daytona International Speedway over the years: thunderous V8-powered stock cars, Le Mans-conquering Group C prototypes, open-wheel Champ Cars, knee-dragging superbikes... heck, the infield lake has even hosted powerboat racing. But this - this is the fastest car ever to lap the legendary raceway.
What you're looking at is the new Daytona Prototype being prepared by Riley Technologies for the new United SportsCar Championship. The car, released just last week, is powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, and just obliterated the top speed at the track with a blistering 222.971 miles per hour through the traps.
That's enough to annihilate the previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for 26 years until now.
Wrap up some fun with Ford's commercial vehicle configurator
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Ford has combined multiple steps into one with its commercial vehicle configurator, which allows users to choose, design and place orders for the Transit, Transit Connect, E-Series vans and F-Series Super Duty trucks.
The most interesting part of the new configurator is a fairly robust design tool. Users are able to choose paint color and wrap the vehicle, and then create their own graphics. No materials are needed - Ford provides numerous background textures, text boxes, plenty of shapes and 20 categories of images including floral, construction, plumbing and skylines. Self-created designs or images can be uploaded to the system as well.
We played around with the design tool a bit and uploaded our own image to create the Autoblog Podcast Live van you see here. Feel free to check out the configurator and make your own design.
2015 Ford F-150 shaves 700 pounds, adds 2.7-liter EcoBoost [w/video]
Mon, 13 Jan 2014The Ford F-150 is one of the best selling vehicles on the planet. Considering that, one can imagine that when it comes time for a redesign, there are hardly any half measures. For its lucky thirteenth generation, Ford has gone all-in on the single most important vehicle in its portfolio, redesigning it from the ground up.
The big news is the F-150's new, lightweight, Atlas-inspired body. Ninety-three percent of that new body is made from a sort of aluminum alloy not unlike what the US military uses in its M2 Bradley fighting vehicles and Humvees, and it accounts for up to 70 percent of the F-150's 700-pound weight reduction. As a side benefit, the aluminum body should prove more resistant to dents and dings. Built Ford tough, indeed.
If you're wondering where the other 30 percent of that 700-pound weight loss went, 8.5 percent (60 pounds) came from the increased use of high-strength steel (up from 23 percent to 77 percent) in its ladder-box frame. Ford claims this steel is comparable to some of the heavy duty pickups used by its competitors, with a PSI rating of 70,000.
