Story- This Mustang has been a project car while I was in the military about 2-3 years. It’s been to about three or four different shops and has also been tuned one time. I have brought the price down on this car an additional $5000; I have a little or $30,000, in parts and about 15,000 and labor. I also spent $9000 on the paint job that I’m currently in a lawsuit for right now against the company. When I got of the army at the end of last year I had taken some financial hits in investments and business, and have a kid on the way so I’m forced to sell this Mustang for a huge loss. Unfortunately, if it does not sell in a few weeks I will be forced to part it out. You’re interested in one of the parts below, but can’t afford car please email me and offer. The caveat to that if you have the right connections you could possibly part out and make a profit from my asking price. I can show proof of receipts for about $30,000 in parts, and also have a shop here in town to guarantee the cars been sitting there and the new parts. The car interior is currently not in the car to include just the carpet, racing seats, deletion kit, center counsel, and door panels
Positive- The car has an abundance of excellent performance parts. It also has a lot of the legwork done currently. The upgraded pump is in the gas tank for the fast system. This had a lot of the minor kinks worked out in the last few months. I’ll be glad to answer any questions and show any proof for you if you are serious about purchasing. My wife and I really need to sell this car, but unfortunately I really do not to take any further loss than $25,000. I will give a little bit more possibly and offer free shipping. This car is steel if you’re looking to do one of three things to it. 1) By the car take it back down, and rebuild as your very own project car with high performance parts. 2) fixed the minor issues that are wrong with it right use for racing or everyday driving. 3) Buy the car and parted out and make a little bit of profit if you have the right connections. I personally do not have the time right now to part this car out, but I will pay my mechanic to do so for me if I cannot sell.
Negatives know issues- Although looks great from far away the paint job is horrible if you know anything about paint. The driver side door has little bit of a blur and is probably the biggest issue in paint. Side skirts and scoops or poorly put on and will need to be refit. Some of the factory harness was found still in the car. The roll cages installed in the car but some welding still has to be done. I have the interior but is not fully installed. The wheels are just for looks it is not recommended to get on this car with these bills on it unless you want to crash. So if you are a person that doesn’t know too much about cars and just have the money to buy this car I recommend to put better griping wheels on. Please email or call for any further questions or to look at the car thanks. BELOW IS A LIST SOME PARTS MOST ALL PARTS BRAND NEW ONLY USE ON DYNO AND TEST MOVING IN AND OUT OF GARAGE.IF THERE IS NO PROOF OF PURCHASE IT WILL SAY. Ford to build Explorer in Russia to meet demand [w/video]

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

The current Ford Explorer is sold in more than 64 countries, and this three-row vehicle continues to grow in popularity worldwide. To keep up with demand, Ford began producing the Explorer at Ford Sollers Elabuga Assembly Plant in Tatarstan, Russia, a joint venture facility. This partnership will build Russian-market Explorers only, and production of export vehicles not destined for Russian buyers will continue to be built at Ford's assembly plant in Chicago.
Before this plant went online, Ford would ship Explorers to Russia (and other regions around the world) as partially assembled knock-down units where final assembly would eventually take place. While there is no indication as to how many Explorers Ford Sollers will build for Russia, Ford did add that exports of the SUV were up 65 percent last year (from 2011) accounting for more than 24,000 units.
Scroll down for a press release about the Russian Explorer as well as a video (bad music and all) showing the SUV being produced in Tatarstan.

Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.

Ford Escort Concept goes back to basics

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

Here's the thing about China: The folks buying cars there have a very different set of standards than shoppers in many other markets around the globe. While we all drool over hot metal with bold designs, and while we appreciate automakers going an extra step to inject even their cheapest offerings with aggressive and interesting cues, that sort of sheetmetal sex appeal doesn't always sell in the People's Republic. Case in point is Jaguar, which may be designing a more traditional-looking version of its XJ for the Chinese market, or more to the point of this story, Ford currently sells the less-exciting, last-generation Focus compact in China right alongside the new one.
So consider this new Shanghai-bound C-segment concept a preview of what's to come for that more traditional, budget-minded, less-sexy market. More proof of this pudding: Ford's even calling this concept the Escort - a nod to the Blue Oval's compact car days of yore, and a name that stirs up thoughts of basic, affordable transportation rather than great driving dynamics or bold design. "Customers in China described seeking a vehicle that is stylish - but not one that is arrogant or pretentious," Ford states. And this new Escort concept previews a possibility of providing exactly that for this rapidly expanding automotive market.
What you're looking at, then, is one of the most simple Ford designs we've seen of late, though it still incorporates all of the automaker's latest DNA. The signature hexagonal grille is front and center, flanked by attractive LED headlamps and chrome-rimmed foglamp housings. The entire car's design focuses on clean, smooth surfaces, with one strong character line flowing from front to back just below the beltline. We will say that the car looks decidedly more premium from the rear view, where narrow, horizontal taillamps with an LED accent give the car added visual width. Bland as it may be, it's a handsome little concept, though fear what would likely happen if all of the conceptual details get dumbed down for a production model.
