Albany, Texas, United States

1950 FORD F1 PICKUP WITH GREAT PATINA. NON-MOLESTED BODY AND FRAME.

THE ORIGINAL ENGINE, TRANNY AND REAR END ARE IN THE TRUCK. TRUCK ROLLS EASILY BUT I'M BETTING THE ENGINE IS LOCKED UP AS IT'S BEEN SITTING FOR MANY YEARS. TRANNY SEEMS TO SHIFT GOOD.

WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN, DOORS OPEN AND SHUT, HOOD AND HINGES WORK AS THEY SHOULD BUT NEED SOME OIL TO SMOOTH IT UP A LITTLE.

THIS IS A GREAT BUILDER TRUCK OR LEAVE THE BODY AS IS FOR AN AWESOME "PATINA" TRUCK. IT'LL NEED FLOOR PANS FOR SURE BUT THE EXTERIOR LOOKS GREAT AS IT IS. BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT BUT HAS THE USUAL RUST IN THE USUAL PLACES. EVERYTHING IS THERE EXCEPT THE TAILGATE.

I HAVE A CLEAN TEXAS TITLE IN HAND.

FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS. I'VE SET THE RESERVE AT A VERY FAIR PRICE, BUT REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED TO END THE AUCTION EARLY.

I WILL EXCEPT CASH IN PERSON, CASHIER CHECK, BANK WIRE, PAYPAL BUT ALL FUNDS MUST CLEAR MY BANK BEFORE TRUCK IS RELEASED FOR SHIPPING. ALL SHIPPING AND ARRANGEMENTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. THE TRUCK NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM MY PROPERTY WITHIN 3 WEEKS.

A tribute to William Clay Ford

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.
Take a look below for this touching memorial video on William Clay Ford.

2015 Ford Focus gets more Aston-y [w/video]

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

With more and more members of the Ford brand adopting a new familial face, the Focus has been left looking like an odd man out. At the Geneva Auto Show, though, it properly rejoined the family, adopting the now familiar Aston Martin-ish grille that's proliferated throughout the range.
Overall, we're liking the refreshed Focus' look. Aside from the new grille, the headlights have been restyled and now look like elongated versions of the lamps on the Focus ST. Functionally, those headlamps are bi-xenon units, complete with an adaptive front lighting system. Out back, the rear retains the same overall look, which has been smoothed out for 2015.
In the cabin, the second-generation of Ford's much-maligned Sync system makes its debut. Sync 2, as it's called, is supposedly more intuitive than the first-gen system. Ford is promising "one-shot" navigation functions for the system. Saying "I'm hungry," should bring up a list of nearby restaurants. Of course, we'll be reserving final judgment until we can test the new system in person.

Jay Leno takes a Surfin' Safari in a 1937 Ford Woodie Restomod

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

Woodie wagons were a major part of surfing culture in the 1960s, offering coastal style and a ton of room, and they even earned a mention in the Beach Boys' classic song Surfin' Safari. This week, Jay Leno's Garage takes a look at two modern, restomodded examples of these style icons.
Unlike a lot of restomods, builder Scott Bonowski keeps these wagons looking almost completely stock on the outside, and all of the upgrades are hidden underneath the timber. You can't tell by looking at it, but the '37 Woodie (pictured above) has independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes and a Ford 5.0-liter V8 under the hood.
Beyond the mechanical aspect, the craftsmanship into the wood is astounding. Bonowski claims there are between 30 and 50 coats of varnish on this wagon. It makes these woodies as much of a piece of fine furniture as a vehicle to drive.
