This is an old 1970 Ford 1 ton dually flat bed 2 wheel drive that I bought at an auction and was gonna make a rat rod out of it but things happen and change in life. LOL! It does run. I drove it home after I put a new fuel pump on it and cleaned out the carburetor. It has a 351 Windsor in it that sounds good and has good oil pressure. Its not the original engine I'm sure. 4 speed manual transmission.  Its got some pretty tall rear end gears in it cause it runs about 55 mph pretty comfortably. Not sure what gear ratio it is though. The body is rough but not as bad as many I've seen. The interior is just as rough. The tires are old and weather checked and wont make it far. It does need new tires. The wheels are split rings (widow makers). I think the truck would make a good work truck on the ranch or ?... The truck would make a neat rat rod I think. I do have a 1969 pickup box that can be purchased separate from this action. 200 bucks OBO. Give me a call or a text message if you have questions. 307 267-1041. I check my ebay pretty regularly so if you want to email thru ebay that's fine to. The buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements, and charges. I can help with loading if needed. I do have it for sale locally so I will end auction early if it sales. Please bid to buy, not to play games. I do have a clear title to the truck. I have no idea on the actual mileage. No warranties or guarantees. Please call me with any questions. 307 237-1041

Pickup sales may hit 2M units for first time since 2007

Sat, 21 Sep 2013

Even as fuel prices creep back up, trucks are still a hot item among new-vehicle shoppers. To see how popular pickup trucks still are, you don't have to look any further than how much effort automakers put into the continual one-upmanship of their trucks. Backing this fact up, USA Today is reporting that the segment could top two million sales this year - a total not matched since 2007, though still far from the pre-recession, three-million-unit levels.
Through August, the Ford F-Series continues to be the segment leader with almost 500,000 units sold, but the Chevy Silverado (328,269), Ram 1500 (234,642), GMC Sierra (122,232) and Toyota Tacoma (110,293) are all seeing at least 20-percent sales increases, helping to account for around 1.44 million truck sales so far this year - not including possible outliers like the Suzuki Equator and Chevy Avalanche.
This year alone, General Motors has completely redesigned its fullsize trucks, Ram and Toyota have significantly updated their offerings, the next-gen Ford F-150 will be out next year and Nissan is promising an all-new Titan around the same time with an eventual Cummins diesel under the hood. It would seem, then, that truck sales are poised to continue their upward trend.

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.

2015 Ford Focus ST gets sleeker style, improved dynamics

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

The Brits don't really have a major auto show these days. Not in a conventional sense, anyway, with stationary vehicles under floodlights in a closed exposition space. What they do have, you could argue, is much better: the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the public can view the latest machinery not only under an open sky, but in motion as well, speeding up Lord March's front lawn. And this year, British automakers are rolling in with some very enticing new metal.
In the past few days alone we've confirmed the McLaren 650S GT3 and MSO, Jaguar F-Type Project 7, Range Rover Sport SVR and Ariel Ace will all be revealed for the first time at Goodwood this weekend. Ford isn't, strictly speaking, a British automaker, but for all its history in the UK, it might as well. So it's chosen Goodwood as the site to unveil its refreshed Focus ST.
The upgraded Blue Oval hot hatch still packs a 2.0-liter turbo four with 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque driving through a six-speed manual to the front wheels, so we're not expecting much change in measurable performance. But Ford has given the new Focus ST a new front suspension setup and a new electric power-assisted steering rack that combine to promise improved handling.
