Listing a Mostly Original 67 Ranchero 390.  Has some nice extra features.  4-1 FOMOCO ( vacuum gage volt oil pressure and water temp) Very rare option gage and factory tach.  Has GT style heads 14 bolt and GT exhaust manifolds.   Originally to Phoenix DSO for sale in New Mexico..  I thought I would list it because I will probably modify it and someone out there might be looking for a original to restore.  The car was sitting for some time so will need BRAKES.  I have had the carb rebuilt $150, new radiator hoses and fuel pump, and $1000 in Steel Styled wheels and new tires.  seems to run fine.  All suspension components appear to be original (upper control arms have rivets and no grease fitting)  lower control arms also appear original. It   has 9inch 3.0 Traction lock rear with correct fill plug etc.  The bed and tailgate in very nice condition.  All chrome around bed in good used condition (no holes drilled in it) some use scratches.  No Rust in floors doors etc.  has a bad spot on right rear quarter where dirt had accumulated and that spot will need attention. left rear quarter has dent no rust and left quarter by door has damage again no rust.  See pictures. Have good AZ title and Marti report.  power steering and A/C not connected  but all components seem to be present.  take a look at this rare Ranchero.  one of 78 according to Marti Report

Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.

2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.

Bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta hams it up for International Bacon Day

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

This is a bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta. It is a real thing, that a real, multi-billion-dollar company designed. And it isn't even April Fools' Day. Designed for International Bacon Day, which is also apparently a thing, the 2014 Fiesta is finished in Green Envy paint - we're told black paint, like the color of a skillet, made the car look camouflaged - and features 10 gigantic decals depicting strips of tender, cured bacon.
The design, which was approved by the CEO of Benton's Country Hams, Allan Benton, show off the depth of Ford's Custom Graphics program. Unbelievably, Ford will actually start offering bacon decals to everyday customers, including (and we can't believe we're writing this) dual bacon racing stripes which will no doubt have Carroll Shelby spinning and/or salivating in his grave, and a "side of bacon," which wraps a couple of strips over the rear wheels.
Benton, who Ford claims is the King of Bacon, had this to say: "This car just makes so much sense." The Fiesta's marketing manager, Liz Elser added, "It's just awesome to drive down the road in a piece of bacon."
