Super Nice and Original Ranchero GT. Super solid body with no rust evident anywhere including bed floor, floorboards and rocker panels! This vehicle has been well maintained and we have all the receipts including a recent engine overhaul at about 105,000 miles. Car now has 112,052 miles showing on odometer. Car is all original color with original GT decals in nice condition. Power seat is not original but we have the original seat that goes along with the deal plus the original valve covers, shocks, and a new car cover. A list of the positive aspects of the car: Super solid body, no rust! AT, PW, PB, PDL, PS, and Power Seat! Recent engine overhaul, runs great! Original color and stripes. AM/FM 8Track, Drives Great, Real Good Tires, Magnum 500 Wheels! Spare tire and jack plus cover in original location. Air Shocks, Dual Exhaust, Current Va inspection! New Ranchero Emblems (need to be installed) plus Original Owners Manual! Everything works except clock. A list of the Bad: There aren't many but we want to be up front and honest! There is a small stone chip in the windshield. The paint isn't perfect but very presentable. Some of the trim needs polished or replated. Dash has one crack in Dash Pad. Clock doesn't work. Hood and tailgate have some minor dents. Whoever is lucky enough to purchase this car will not be disappointed! I can't stress how solid this car is! Car is being sold as is with no reserve! A $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal is due within 24 hours of auction end. Balance due within 2 weeks of auction end by cash or certified bank check. Check must clear before car is picked up. EU formally questions French government assistance of Peugeot's finance arm
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Recently, the finance arm of PSA/Peugeot-Citroën was in such debt trouble that it was pricing itself out of the car loan market. The rates it was paying to service its debt, which was rated one step above junk, were so high that it was forced to charge car-buying customers higher rates than they could find elsewhere. This was adding to Peugeot's already impressive woes by sending revenue out the door to competitors.
Two months ago a deal was worked out with the French government whereby the state would provide 7 billion euro ($9 billion USD) in bonds to guarantee the finance arm's loans. The French government could nominate someone to join the Peugeot board, Peugeot would guarantee more French jobs, and on top of that deal, other banks would provide non-guaranteed loans. The government would take no equity stake in the car company.
Although not yet finalized, the arrangement is meant to create some breathing room for Peugeot Finance to lower its interest rates for customers, and a government-nominated board member, Louis Gallois, was recently named to Peugeot's supervisory board. The arrangement was also openly questioned by at least three competitors: Ford, Renault - which is 15-percent owned by the French government after it received state aid - and the German state of Lower Saxony, itself a 15-percent shareholder in Volkswagen.
Ford says C-Max mpg reduction has hurt sales

Sales for the five-door hybrid hatchback were down 39.1 percent in March to 2,295 cars, and sales from January through March were down 42.5 percent to 5,566 units. In an interview with The Detroit News, Ford Americas boss Joe Hinrichs places the blame on lowering the model's fuel economy rating.
"We're definitely seeing consideration on C-Max decline over time. We need to reinvest in the product because it's a great car," said Hinrichs to The Detroit News.
The company was hit with bad publicity over the C-Max when owners in multiple states filed class action lawsuits that alleged the cars weren't able to meet the stated fuel economy. Ford eventually re-rated the model from 47 miles per gallon city, highway and combined to 40 mpg city, 45 mpg highway and 43 mpg combined. To soften the blow of the change, the automaker sent checks to the owners to make up some of the difference. Initially, Ford claimed that demand remained strong for the hybrid. However, the latest sales figures and Hinrichs' statement seem to show the opposite.
