LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK AND BID WITH CONFIDENCE!! This is an awesome ranger with a v8 conversion. Picked it up off a guy who really needed to sell it so I'm passing the good deal along. Engine is a mildly built 302, not sure on the cam specs but it doesn't flash too high so it's probably just a nice torque cam (rv cam for us old timers, under .500 lift for you technical types), headers going into stacks, intake, and holley 670 street avenger carb (probably too big for a street 302 in my opinion), new battery, electric holley fuel pump (the red one I believe) and electric fan are on a separate switches on the dash along with a push button start. Tranny was gone through at the time of the engine swap 1-2 years ago, and its got a hurst pro-matic II ratchet shifter (pretty fun once you know how to use it, print out the manual online and it takes a lot of the confusion away). Doesn't have a front drive shaft yet so its a 2wd as it sits. Aftermarket gauges all read properly. No radio installed yet but I have one that will come with it. I have had to wiggle the battery cable once to get power to the starter so a new cable is probably in the future. Paint job is a real camo paint job done in thick primer like the military does, not some shiny sticker. Interior is worn but not all riped up, doors rattle a bit when shut, new rubber will fix that if it bothers you. It needs a passenger window, they are $35 at the junkyard. Fuel cap door has been relocated to the bed. Tires are very good 33" with plenty of room for more, tread is like new, front right has a slow leak when just sitting, haven't sprayed any slime in it but it's very slow about 2 weeks before you'll notice but if driven regularly it would be fine. Haven't noticed any rust issues. Feel free to ask any questions or request specific pics before the auction is over, winning the auction does not mean you've won the right to come see if you like it, please do that before. The reserve on this is very very low, like what the tires and lift would cost, or what the labor on the v8 swap would be, or what the engine and tranny would cost. I haven't personally driven this more than about a mile or two due to it not having tags on it but it's loud, fast and fun and I can't find any mechanical issues. If you are within 250 miles I may be able to have it delivered for $300 more, not a guarantee but I'll talk to you after the auction. |

Ford EcoSport Storm concept swallows a Raptor in Sao Paulo
Sun, 02 Nov 2014Ford rolled into the Sao Paulo Motor Show with some pretty cool crossovers in tow, the awesomest of all being the EcoSport Storm concept shown above, which draws its inspiration directly from the F-150 SVT Raptor. It packs a lower grille clearly derived from the now-famous muscle truck, as well as a Blue Storm paint job, black and silver trim, special graphics, lower body cladding and 215/75 R15 off-road tires. Don't go holding your breath for a supercharged V8, though; made locally in Brazil, India and Thailand, the tiny EcoSport is typically powered by a three- or four-cylinder engine.
The Storm isn't the only specially prepared Ecosport on show, however, joined as it is by another pair called Beauty and the Beast. Beauty is decked out in matte copper with a black roof, LED fog lamps, 18-inch wheels with low-profile tires and an interior complete with four individual bucket seats, leather upholstery and a full multimedia suite. The Beast, meanwhile, takes a sportier approach with a white pearl finish, blue and orange trim and three-bar grille. It also wears 18-inch wheels and LED fog lamps, but its interior swaps out its rear seats for a bike rack.
Joining the EcoSport show cars was an Edge crossover equipped with all the latest technologies and done up in bright red with three-bar grille, bulging hood, and an interior featuring 10-inch touchscreens and leather upholstery. Feel free to read more in the press release below.

Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is a track-day weapon with 500 hp
Mon, 17 Nov 2014
Ford promises more than 500 horsepower and a torque peak above 400 lb-ft.
The wait is finally over. After months of spy shots, rumor and innuendo, Ford has officially pulled the wraps off its new Shelby GT350. Judging by the spec sheet and the promises being made - especially that the Shelby GT350 will be "an all-day track car that's also street legal" - the wait appears to have been worth it.
