1964 Ford Thunderbird, Hardtop, Blue, Running California Classic on 2040-cars
Atlanta, Texas, United States
This is a 1964 Ford Thunderbird classic. V8 two door, original engine with original (38,260) miles on it, swivel steering, bought it in 2005 in california. had some work done to it at the mechanic shop, they redid the brake system, cleaned out the engine and transmission. it does run and she sounds like a real beauty. this was going to be my project show car but im traveling too much and dont have time to work on it. so im selling it, im only selling it with what i have on it.....hate to sell it but i dont have the time and hate to see this beautiful car go to waste. please take a look at the pictures, this is a great find, ive thought so ever since i bought her. i have receipt with what work i did on the car. the mechanic had told me with some top end improvements she would run like a champ. I thought about doing the improvements before i sold the car but then i wouldve had to boost up the price. cosmetic details about the vehicle you are able to see them in the pictures, look at them very carefully i dont want to seem dishonest. this is an as is buy for this vehicle. this is a beautiful car and can be a show piece but even in its condition it still needs some attention, attention and time i dont have. happy bidding and good luck. the title is clear, i recently went to the motor vehicle office, i did not renew the plates because im selling it, so it would be redundant, incase someone buys it from another state. i have the receipt for the title, they said i should have it in about two weeks. if you happen to purchase the vehicle before i receive it i would gladly give you a bill of sale, the receipt of title application and i would send the title signed and dated to you by mail overnited. if you have any questions regarding this vehicle dont hesitate to contact me...

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
Tue, 15 Oct 2013I'm not overly inclined to professional jealousy, as a rule. Sure, I go a bit green around the eyes when Ramsey draws the 911 GT3 trip to Weissach, Harley is tapped-in to drive a completely stunning Porsche 911 by Singer, or, you know, Drew Phillips gets to shoot a Lamborghini Veneno in the middle of a desert like some sort of sheik. I hate you guys...
Honestly though, one of the new car events that dug me the most, was when our Steven J. Ewing got to fling the Ford Fiesta ST around some hot corner of Europe. What goes around comes around, I suppose, as Mr. Ewing himself espoused an envious nature of the Focus ST trip that came before.
The good news in all this covetous intra-office behavior? All the cars mentioned, and specifically the Fiesta ST, are just wonderful to drive. I can say that with more confidence than ever now, having joined Ford for a good bit of Fiesta-flinging myself. In my case, the locale was slightly more pedestrian (Michigan not Portugal), and the car in question was the five-door version of the Fiesta ST that we get here in The States, as opposed to the three-door number they get across the pond.
Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70
Sun, 20 Jul 2014We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.
