Offered for sale is this nice original 1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau Edition with 89k Original Miles. It is not a $1500.00 or $15,000 dollar car, If seeking perfection than it may be a good idea to check cars in the $12,000 and Up range. It's had a lot of care and money invested in maintenance to it, over a car with shiny new paint possibly hiding rust and filler and not running or running right. We planned to keep it but also own a 1962 and choosing between the two, we would like to keep our Bullet Bird. The main reason for selling is we no longer have room for it in the garage and don't want to keep it outside. It is originally from California and included is the 1966 Black and Yellow California Plates and Dealer Frame from Marquis Motors of Mission Viejo. It also has the Owner's Manual. We have lost track of some of the receipts that came with the car, but I have most of the recent ones (see photos) that add up to quite some money spent on an Entire New Brake System, This Includes The Proportioning Valve, Wheel Bearing Repack, Seals, Tie Rod Ends, Rear Differential, Transmission Service Including Pan Gasket Seal, Alternator, Belts and Hoses, Thermostat and Coolant Temperature Sensor, Headlight Switch, All Tail Light Bulbs Replaced, Battery and Tires Are One Year Old with about 96 Percent Tread. I am not going to give you the Little Old Lady Who Drove It Only On Sundays Story because that would be B.S. Although it has low mileage and we are the 3rd Owners. The Previous Owner drove it less than 800 miles over the course of about the last 3 years of ownership. Clear and Clean Washington Title In My Name, Registered as a Collector Car No Tabs Ever Again in This State. 390 V-8 Starts every time and very easily with No Smoke and No Ponds Of Fluids Underneath. Glass and Seals are Good, The Gauges, Dash Lights Instruments, Original AM Radio Work, Manual Windows and Seats function as do Wipers, and Door Lock Button On Console. To make it really nice I would say a Paint Job (above the driver's side rear wheel skirt some clown scraped it when parked in Downtown Seattle and it was fixed, that is shown in a picture) fix the small tears to the driver's seat and some adhesive on the headliner, also the horn isn't working..noticed a couple fuses missing and I have one of those T Levers that's out of the console in the Glove Box, and the Swing-Away part of the steering is not doing that so the steering stays in the driving position, just some small things, but this ride is ready to go, Drive it Home it's runs and shifts the way it should, or I can work with you on your choice of Shipping Co. getting it to you, from my door to yours or I can get it to a Shipping Co. of your choice. We really don't have to sell it and again I am not entertaining $1500.00 offers and have posted it with a low and reasonable reserve. To find something like this for less than $5000.00 you can probably find it on Craigslist sitting in a back yard for 10 years with the old "It Ran When It Was Parked" story. So If You are looking for a classy ride for not too much money that is a driver than here it is, and remember it comes with receipts from shops for a lot of work done, not a "Shade Tree Mechanic". Only posting it this one time, if it doesn't sell more than likely it gets what it needs and stored properly.

Bill Ford wins National Pond Hockey Championship with employees
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Who says executives aren't people? This past weekend, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, and a group of employees trekked up to Eagle River, WI for a few games of pond hockey. Team Ford took part in the 2014 Labatt Blue/USA Pond Hockey Championship, capturing its fifth title in the 50+ Tier 1 Division.
"It feels great to win," Ford, who plays on the team alongside other Ford employees, told the USA Hockey website. "It was fun to play [River Valley Pioneers] because they're great guys and we play them every year. We finally beat them, which we were due. It was a very clean game, a tough game."
The FoMoCo team managed to score seven goals to River Valley's two, and went undefeated in all five of its games during the tourney. Take a look below for the official press release on Team Ford's win.
Fiat boss Elkann being mentored by... Bill Ford?
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Fiat Chairman John Elkann has been turning to an unusual source for advice on the car business. While speaking during an interview with The Detroit News, Elkann said he often asks Bill Ford Jr. for advice on how to proceed with the turnaround at Chrysler. "It's great to have the opportunity to share this with someone like Bill, who has experienced many things and gone through many things ... especially linked to Detroit." Elkann said.
As the Agnelli family heir, Elkann has inherited a long and fruitful friendship with the Ford family. While Giovanni Agnelli built his first Fiat four years before Henry Ford created his first vehicle, it was Ford that showed Agnelli the benefits of mass production and helped pave the way for what would become the Fiat empire.
Giovanni's grandson, Gianni, helped mentor Bill Ford when he was elected chairman of Ford Motor Company. Now, Ford is returning the favor by helping Elkann navigate the automotive industry's tumultuous waters.
GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
