Our personal Ford Thunderbird is a 2-owner car that has always been garaged. We bought it from an individual in Plano, Texas that had ordered 2 of these new and exactly the same cars. It was ordered from the factory WITHOUT the hard top originally in Arizona and then re-titled in Texas when he moved here. The Ford T-Bird is built to handle like a sports car, but it rides like a luxury sedan. This one has the Premium package upgrade. It is a beautiful Triple Black that is still show room shiny with little or no wear and tear. Tires have been replaced with quiet-riding, high quality tires that have less than 3,000 miles on them. This car is super clean inside and outside and really a fun ride. It has never been in any accidents, nor has it ever been smoked in.  The care taken on our loved and gently used vehicle is reflective of the 47,800 miles put on it. We have treated this T-Bird like it was our baby and want to find a good home for her. You are welcome to call Mark for more info at 254-913-9489.

For Bidders with less than 10 feedbacks, you MUST call me or I may cancel your bid. This T-bird is for sell locally and may be pulled from auction. Thanks for looking.

Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.

2015 Roush Mustang lineup officially revealed

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Just last week, Saleen revealed initial details of its tuning program for the new Ford Mustang. And now Roush is following suit.
Available in three stages - based on the V6 (RS), EcoBoost (RS1) and V8 (RS2) models - the 2015 Roush Mustangs all feature the venerable Ford tuner's latest R7 aero kit complete with remodeled fascia, five-blade grille, gaping air dam with integrated driving lamps and splitter. Around back there's a one-piece deck spoiler and "race-inspired lower aero-valance."

Ford partnering with MIT, Stanford on autonomous vehicle research

Fri, 24 Jan 2014

Ask any car engineer what's the biggest variable in achieving fuel economy targets, and he'll tell you "the driver." If one human can't understand human driving behavior enough to be certain about an innocuous number like miles per gallon, how is an autonomous car supposed to figure out what hundreds of other drivers are going to do in the course of a day? Ford has enlisted the help of Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to find out.
Starting with the automated Fusion Hybrid introduced in December, MIT will be developing algorithms that driverless cars can use to "predict actions of other vehicles and pedestrians" and objects within the three-dimensional map provided by its four LIDAR sensors.
The Stanford team will research how to extend the 'vision' of that LIDAR array beyond obstructions while driving, analogous to the way a driver uses the entire width of a lane to see what's ahead of a larger vehicle in front. Ford says it wants to "provide the vehicle with common sense" as part of its Blueprint for Mobility, preparing for an autonomous world from 2025 and beyond.
