This baby bird(1955), is the first year for the thunderbird and this car has never been restored. It is mostly complete and original. It does run and lot drives. The brakes are down on it from years of sitting. The car needs the restoration that has been started---finished! Most all the outside body work has been completed and the body is strait. The interior is original and only missing the door panels. The only other thing missing that I am aware of is the wiper assemblies. The interior deffinately needs restored. The tires on the car are older and Bias-Ply. they do hold air and are wide whites. The engine sound good and does not seem to smoke. There are no leaks that I can see in the cooling system. The front floor boards have had fiberglass cloth put over them and can be finished as is or have new pans installed. They are readily available and cheap. The windshield is new along with the rubber. Both the door glasses are also new. I have a good Tn. Title in my name for the car.
This car is believed to be a three owner car(including myself). It belonged to a lady school teacher for more than 30 to 40 years. She passed away in 2011. The car was bought from her estate.
This car is sold where is, as is. There is absolutely "NO" warranty-expressed or implied, of any kind.
All sales are final , no returns and no refunds. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I will assist in any reasonable way that I can.
You are encouraged to personally inspect the car prior to making a bid on the car or have a representative inspect it for you(at you own expense)!
Ask any and all questions prior to placing a bid on the car. If you bid, you bid to own "NOT COME AND TAKE A LOOK AT IT".
These ebay auctions are expensive and not to be taken as a lightly.
If you have less than 5 ebay feedback ratting, please contact me prior to bidding or "I WILL DELETE YOUR BID"!
You can call (765)413-4411 for further information. This vehicle is listed in other mediums and may be sold and removed from ebay at anytime.
This car is being sold with a low and reasonable reserve and should be affordable to anyone wanting to get into a first generation thunderbird.

2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:

KBB 2013 Brand Image Awards has some obvious and oddball winners

Sat, 30 Mar 2013

The sixth edition of the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards have crowned a wide range of winners - in a couple of cases the recipient of the laurels might say more about KBB users than they do about the actual winner. Compiled from the responses of more than 12,000 shoppers on KBB.com over the past year, there are 13 categories broken into non-luxury, luxury and truck segments "representing the combined wisdom of the American car-buying public."
The award categories have been revamped this year, with some dropping off, some new ones appearing and at least one other given a new term. What isn't surprising is that Honda won Most Trusted Brand for the second year running, Best Value Brand for the third year in a row and took Best Overall Brand, which wasn't on last year's list of awards.
On our own shores, in the non-luxury categories Chrysler got Most Refined Brand and Buick took Best Value Luxury Brand. Neither one of those marques won anything in last year's Brand Image Awards, while Cadillac, which won Best Interior Design Brand and Best Comfort Brand last year - those awards disappeared this year - went home without a single accolade.
