Hello. Up for auction is this USED 1996 GMC SAFARI PASSENGER WHITE PASSENGER VAN. It has only 125,456 actual miles on engine. Van has an excellent powerful V-6 engine and automatic transmission! The very best part of this van is its engine! The engine is very strong with no smoke or noise! Just press the gas and this baby moves you FAST! It has a white exterior and blue cloth interior. The paint has some surface rust, especially on the roof, but could be easily cleaned with a little sandpaper and spray paint. The body has no major body damage! Interior dash is damaged and need to be replaced, the seats and the rest of the interior is in good condition! There is no radio, need battery, all tires are worn! Please note: This vehicle need a fly-wheel and starter to be drivable! This is a cheap junkyard replacement part i recently priced at around $39 for the flywheel. I could even have this done for you for an added fee! The current flywheel on van is killing the starter, so the flywheel must be replaced first! However I have a guarantee on the current starter on the van, so I will provide a new starter from AUTOZONE (not installed) with the sell of this vehicle! Yes, i can even install the starter too, but the damaged flywheel will kill starter after cranking vehicle a few times! THE VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY! It would make a great vehicle for transportation or parts! The vehicle is located in Bainbridge, GA. Bainbridge is in the extreme southwest part of Georgia. It's located about 50 miles south of Albany, Georgia and about 35 miles north of Tallahassee, Florida. THE STARTING BID FOR THIS VEHICLE IS A VERY LOW $695.00 WITH NO RESERVE! There is a required $250 immediate deposit to be paid by the winning bidder! Good luck and thanks for looking!

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon midsize pickup trucks to get diesel engines

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

The market for midsize pickup trucks has all but been abandoned in the US, but General Motors is about to shake the market up with the all-new (to the US) Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. Launching next year, GM already told us that its new trucks would be a "fuel-efficient alternative" to fullsize trucks, and aside from the smaller size, Automotive News says that these trucks will accomplish this with a diesel engine.
According to the AN report, the next-gen Colorado and Canyon will offer a small, four-cylinder Duramax turbo diesel with a displacement of either 2.5 or 2.8 liters - both engines are currently used in this truck for other markets. This would allow GM to join the Cummins-powered Nissan Titan and Ram 1500 EcoDiesel as the only non-HD trucks in the US to offer diesel. The article goes on to say that the diesel versions of the Colorado and Canyon would launch about a year after the trucks go into production in fall of 2014.

2015 GMC Yukon Denali

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Automotive enthusiasts often wonder aloud - ourselves included - why General Motors would choose to keep GMC while sending Pontiac (and Saturn, and even Oldsmobile before it) into the great automotive graveyard in the sky. The answer, as is so often the case, is profit. It's much easier for GM to rake in money hand over fist by rejiggering the trucks, crossovers and SUVs that it would already be developing for Chevrolet and making them a bit more luxurious and *ahem* "Professional Grade" with new grilles, badges and unique packaging for GMC.
While it may sound like we're being cynical, we totally approve of GM's fullsize SUV strategy. The least-expensive way to get into the fold is with the Chevrolet Tahoe, which starts at $45,595 with a 5.3-liter V8 engine and a cloth interior. Bumping that same Chevy to LTZ trim and its $59,995 sticker price lands a much nicer leather-clad interior and more techno-bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at. But it still looks like a Tahoe, and it still comes with the smaller 5.3-liter engine. Or, you could do what we'd do: Walk into your GMC dealer and take a look at the Yukon Denali. Here's why.

GM expanding Lansing Lambda CUV plant

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Considering that crossovers are a rapidly growing portion of the US auto market, it's not surprising to hear that General Motors is preparing to build even more of them. The company is investing $63 million to expand its Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant that builds Lambda platform CUVs like the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.
According to GM, the expansion will add roughly 263,000 extra square feet of space to the plant. Of that, 181,000 square feet will be for an updated body shop with cutting-edge robots. There will also be 54,000 square feet of additional room in the paint shop and 28,000 square feet of more area for general assembly.
GM isn't saying as much, but there is the possibility that this extra space could allow for additional models produced at the factory. Cadillac reportedly dropped plans to build a three-row SUV on the Lambda platform earlier this year, however, dealers for the luxury brand were recently pitched the possibility of adding large and small CUVs, an ATS convertible or a sedan below the ATS.
