Hello, you are bidding on my 2010 GMC Sierra SLE Z71 crew cab four door 5.3L Vortec 1000 VVT SFI V8 with the Econ mode and Flex fuel for fuel saving consumption. This Sierra is a Rocky Ridge conversion built through GM dealers to obtain the lifted look and big Mickey Thompson 35x12.50x20 tires without sacrificing the factory warranty. This trucks MSRP was $51k and with 36xxx miles you can buy a beautiful truck that was well maintained and never off road plus garage kept for almost half of what it sold for new! It came with chrome wheels, but I replaced them with custom black wheels that have powder coated billet inserts painted to match the factory red paint, chrome package including nerf bars, grill, bumpers, mirrors, and all door handles. The exhaust is an aftermarket stainless steel cat back system that came with conversion package. I have never had an issue at all except a GM recall due to a seatbelt mount update. The interior is flawless black leather power bucket seats with a floor center console, adjustable foot pedals, all-weather rubber floor mats. This Sierra gas all the bells and whistles of the Denali package without the fake wood grain and navigation, but does have USB and 3.5mm jacks for all your media/music devices. OnStar and Xm/Sirius satellite radio and 6 disc CD in dash changer with premium sound. I've been getting emails in regards to the low mileage for a 4 year old vehicle. This is my secondary vehicle that has never been wrecked that does have a clean car fax and is always garaged when not being driven. The truck bed has a factory bed liner to prevent damage and tailgate assist. I drove this truck last winter during Missouri's worst snow storm in 30 years and I never got stuck and drove around town in 15 inches of snow with confidence of not getting stuck. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have or if I have left something out. This is the first vehicle I sold out right and not traded in, so please bare with me. Thanks for your time and interest!!

GM planning to put its fullsize pickups on a big diet, too

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

General Motors is just coming off a complete redesign of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra for 2014, but in the US fullsize truck market, there is no rest for the weary. According to Reuters, plans are already unfurling for both trucks to drop pounds from their curb weight over the next few years, but this will unlikely be able to keep pace with the 700-pound diet targeted for the next-generation Ford F-150, a truck expected to debut late next year.
The biggest weight reduction for these trucks might not be available until the next full redesign, which will likely happen around 2019, but the article says that smaller updates could shave pounds in the meantime. Two examples given include an "aluminum-intensive" version of the Silverado that could shed 250 pounds and debut around the same time as the lighter-weight, aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford, and there is also talk of reducing weight for driveline components such as axles and driveshafts. These changes are all part of an attempt to meet strict new fuel economy standards coming in 2017, targets which will get even tougher in 2025.

2014 GMC Sierra 4.3L V6 to offer segment-best 305 LB-FT

Mon, 06 May 2013

General Motors has released more information on the 4.3-liter V6 available in the 2014 GMC Sierra. The engine will serve up 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque, with a six-speed automatic transmission, and giving the V6 Sierra a maximum tow rating of 7,200 pounds in regular cab, short bed four-wheel drive configuration. GM claims that figure is 500 pounds more than the equivalent Ford F-150 equipped with a 3.7-liter V6, and 700 pounds more than the Ram 1500 with its 3.6-liter V6. Buyers can expect to see the 2014 GMC Sierra with the 4.3-liter engine start at $25,085 including destination.
While the engine does deliver more torque than either of its main competitors, it falls short on the horsepower front. The 3.7-liter V6 in the F-150 develops 302 hp while the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500 yields 305 hp. GM says fuel economy estimates for its newest entry will land later this year. WI dealer under fire for selling new GMC to dying, blind 89-year-old WWII vet [w/video]

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

You know, people, getting through this life from one end to the other in one piece really does require just one rule: don't be a prick. If you ever find yourself in a situation of dubious moral standing, take a step back and ask yourself, "Am I being a prick to any person or thing?" If the answer is "yes," then stop what you're doing, apologize and go home. One dealership in Wisconsin could possibly have benefitted from that course of action when it reportedly helped David McMurray con his elderly and disabled parents into buying a brand-new $42,000 GMC Terrain for his use.
According to local news reports, a representative from Palmen Motors visited Harold and Christen Thomsen's home to collect signatures for a loan agreement three weeks before the 89-year-old, legally blind Harold passed away. The World War II veteran was on morphine and in hospice when he signed for the GMC, and his 90-year-old wife suffers from dementia. Even so, upon being discovered, the dealer initially said everything was done "legally." According to Barb Tinkler, McMurray's sister, the sale was a scam that remained hidden until he was busted for an unrelated criminal charge.
