This truck has many thousands of dollars invested in it.  No the paint is not perfect.  Yes it has some rust.  Yes I have towed with it on occasion(thats why I bought a diesel)  Here's the rundown:

2005 Sierra 4x4 CC, LB   LLY Duramax
Custom Built Allison 1000 by the one and only BIG DIPPER.   google it
Precision Industries Billet Torque Converter/pump rub fix and deep trans pan(Use transsynd and change spin on every 5k)
AirDog II Lift Pump/Filter/Water seperator with brand new filters
LLY Turbo Mouthpiece and Banks Intercooler Tubes
EFI Live with DSP5 switch with Idaho Robs tunes(99% spent in economy tune)  Has 500hp race tune
230 Amp Alternator from Nations Starter and Alternator
2 New Deka Batteries last year
New Wheel bearings/hubs 2 years ago(Timken with lifetime warranty from Dmaxstore.com)
New rotors and Calipers
Rare Parts  Heavy Duty Tie Rods
Cognito Idler and Pittman arm supports
20x9 Raceline Renegades with 33" Pro Comp extreme all terrains
Viair air compressor mounted to the frame for instant air
All badges shaved and Tailgate handle shaved and professionally painted.(handle is now on inside)
Class V Curt Hitch
IPod interface-just hook up ipod and control through stock head unit
Dark Tint all the way around
Bumpers and grille have been sprayed with Bedliner(in the future should be blasted and line-x'd)
I'm selling the truck with a near perfect condition Western Ultra mount plow  THIS TRUCK HAS PUSHED ONE 5'' STORM-AND ABSOLUTELY BABIED THE WHOLE TIME.  I put the plow in mid way through the winter of 2010 and it decided to stop snowing in Maryland after that.
Also Weatherguard Side Boxes and Ladder Racks that I bought used not to long ago and have not even put tools in them. This truck has rarely been used as a "work truck"  but has been used as a truck.
If I don't sell it this time I will remove everything and try again.   The plow is worth $3k and the boxes and rack about $1k
I recently serviced the rear end and transfer case and installed the upgraded valve to the PS pump for more pressure at idle.
This is a big, bad truck and gets tons of complements.  I built it for reliability and function but it is very quick indeed and is in excellent shape.  It runs perfect and is fund to drive.
Shoot me a message with any questions.
thanks for looking

2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon order guides reveal added power

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

General Motors' Fleet Order Guide system is often the canary in the coal mine for interesting changes on new models. The recent guide for the 2015 Corvette unveiled all sorts of changes that weren't yet known about the sports car. Now, it's time for the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon to take their bow in the spotlight, and they look worth the wait. The new midsize trucks are getting a touch more power than first thought, as well as some very nice features.
Extended Cab models of both trucks come standard with a 2.5-liter, direct-injected four-cylinder rated at 200 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 191 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. That's a bit more than the 193 hp and 184 lb-ft originally reported for the duo. The standard transmission for the extended trucks is a six-speed manual, but the Work Truck trim is also available with an optional six-speed automatic. Towing for the four-cylinder is rated at 3,500 pounds.
Crew Cab models come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 with 305 hp at 6,800 rpm and 269 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm, with a six-speed automatic. That's also somewhat different than the originally reported rating of 302 hp and 270 lb-ft. Towing for the V6 is rated at 7,000 pounds.

GM recalling 117,000 sedans, crossovers, SUVs, pickups and vans

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

General Motors has issued a stop-sale to dealers and has notified the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration of its intention to recall 117,000 vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Of those vehicles, only 4,500 are at dealerships.
The affected vehicles include the Cadillac CTS and Chevrolet Impala sedans, fullsize SUVs (Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL), Lambda-platform crossovers (Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia), heavy-duty pickups (Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD) and fullsize vans (Chevy Express and GMC Savana). The sedans and body-on-frame SUVs include model years 2013 and 2014, while the CUVs, heavy-duty pickups and vans are limited to MY2014.
GM confirmed the recall to Autoblog via an emailed statement (which we've included below). According to the statement, the issue at hand in what is the company's 69th recall of 2014 covers the chassis-control module. Automotive News is reporting that a problem in the chassis-control system could cause a short in the module, which could cause the engine to stall or fail to start. The fault could also affect the trailer-brake control, provided it's equipped.

GM pushing back on proposed pickup and SUV brake recall [w/poll]

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Through the first six months of 2014, General Motors has recalled 29 million cars and trucks in 54 different actions. If your author's notoriously sketchy math is correct, that'd work out to one recall every 3.5 days (as of this writing). GM is actively fighting to make sure there isn't a 55th recall, though.
Safety critics, including perennial nemesis Clarence Ditlow of the Center for Auto Safety, are calling on GM to recall a further six million pickup trucks and SUVs in northerly climes due to corroding brake lines caused by the use of road salt. There is a catch, here, though - the vehicles in question are over 10 years old, and include the 1999 to 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban and GMC Sierra, as well as the 2000 to 2003 Tahoe and Yukon (shown above).
GM issued the following statement on the matter, obtained by CNN Money:
