1995 GMC 3500 HD DIESEL LITTLE HOT SHOT TRUCK!!!!

What I have here is a very nice little hauler. I use this truck to pull my wedge car trailers, enclosed trailers, and whatever else I need to move, since I own a transporting company. This truck has been very good to me, and the reason that I am selling is because I need to get another medium duty truck to pull my wedge trailer. This truck is just your plan work truck inside no power windows, locks, or A/C. It does have a 9ft. hot shot bed with a built in gooseneck in the bed, and I have added a 5th. wheel hitch since I also move a lot of campers. I also added a 105 gal. fuel tank and 2 tool boxes to haul equipment. The truck is just getting serviced this week. There is also new glow plugs going in as well. I put in a new lift pump about 3,000 miles ago. This truck does get serviced every 3,000 miles since it is on the road 6 days a week. I would take this truck anywhere, and it pretty much has been if it is the only truck available when a job comes in that needs to be done. This truck is still used everyday so the miles will change on it, and it is also for sale locally. The windows are also tinted, and there is also chrome simulators on the truck and they are not dented up. I am also open to trades for only a medium duty truck, it could be cab & chassis, box truck (I can always remove the box) or whatever, but it has to be a medium duty; topkick, Kodiak, international, or whatever. It needs to be a diesel, stick or auto it doesn't matter!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask, email, call or text (262)-945-6869

I will be posting pictures shortly, and if there is any trailers hooked to the truck, THE TRAILERS ARE NOT FOR SALE!!!!!!!!!!

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper.
For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011.
The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors.

Satisfaction with dealer service rises, Lexus and GMC are tops

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

During the economic downturn, many car dealerships counteracted their slowing income by focusing on things that would set them apart from competition - things like the quality of customer service they provide. When the economy picked up and more sales and service followed, many also first invested those funds back into the business, improving their dealership facilities and service centers.
It looks like those investments are paying off, as J.D. Power and Associates' latest Customer Service Index Study shows that overall consumer satisfaction with dealer service has increased to 797 (on a 1,000-point scale), up from 787 in 2012 and 29 points higher than the score in 2011. The study also finds that people are more satisfied with the service they get at dealerships compared to independent service providers, despite the much higher average out-of-pocket cost per visit ($118 vs. $44).
Note, however, that this study only looks at how people are treated by a dealer's service department during the first three years of ownership (the survey is based on responses from 91,000 owners and lessees of 2008 to 2012 model year vehicles), so we're talking about the experience had when bringing a car in for repair or maintenance work, most likely under warranty. In fact, maintenance work is increasing in share and accounted for 77 percent of service visits (up from 72 percent in 2012 and 63 percent in 2011). This helps explain why customer satisfaction has also risen, since a properly maintained car is one that's less likely to require a dealer visit for an unexpected repair.

GM SUV window switch recall urges owners to park vehicles outside

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

It's not unusual for there to be a lag between an automaker announcing a recall and the official documentation showing up on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website. So it's no surprise that a recent GM campaign took about a month to appear in its official capacity. However, there appears to be some big differences between the two reports with potential safety implications.
In late June, GM announced that it needed to recall 181,984 examples of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Buick Rainier, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7x from the 2005-2007 model years, plus the 2006 Chevy Trailblazer EXT and 2006 GMC Envoy XL. The new documents paint a slightly different picture with 184,611 needing repaired and different model years listed.
The reason for the fix is still the same, though. It's possible for fluid to contact the master power window switch module in the driver's door, which can corrode the part. Eventually this could cause a short circuit, leaving the buttons inoperable and potentially leading to a fire. But the new NHTSA documents add an important note: "A fire could occur even while the vehicle is not in use. As a precaution, owners are advised to park outside until the remedy has been made."
