1994 Honda Accord EX 5 door wagon.  Recent paint, custom rims, good interior with window tint.  The car has been driven daily for the last year with no issues. Automatic transmission, front wheel drive and air conditioning.  All the car features work great - power windows, power sunroof, power locks. Air Conditioning blows cold, heat blows hot, cruise control and Pioneer stereo with CD player.  The interior is gray cloth and has no rips, tears or stains.  Car runs great but needs some attention.   Last week I picked up a nail in my rear passenger tire, I got it plugged but apparently ran on a low tire and ruined the tire sidewall so that tire needs to be replaced.  The other tires are fine, they are Sailun 205/55R16.  It does have a good full size spare to get you home.  Being the car is 19 years old with 193k, she has some leaks, looks like valve cover and oil pan, probably best to degrease the engine and get a clean start.  The radiator or lower hose needs to be replaced as it recently started to slowly leak.  Additionally, needs some front end work - ball joint or tie rod - or both.    The ABS light is lit and the windshield washer fluid doesn't come out.  The car was repainted last fall and looks great - however I recently did break the front passenger side turn signal lens (replacement comes with the car, but not installed) and cracked the underside of the bumper when I bumped a guy in stop and go traffic.  Body has no rust, windows have no cracks or chips.  .  Being that wagon needs some work, I'm selling it as a no reserve auction.  The car is located in Lothian Maryland 20711.  Buyer to make a $100 deposit with 24 hours via paypal, and balance due in cash upon pick up within 7 days.

2015 Honda Fit

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

The last time we left our subcompact hero, the plucky Honda Fit was getting a bit long in the tooth. But the second-generation model was still holding its own rather well, and for the enthusiast on a tight budget who wanted it all, it remained the car of record in its class. If you desired an endlessly practical and reliable little hatch that was fun to drive, it didn't get much better than the Fit. Even with nearly every competitor having been fully freshened since the model's introduction in 2009, the Honda managed to fight off also-ran status simply because of how incredibly functional and great to drive it was. Long story short: we loved this car.
Of course, there were a few caveats to the Fit's superhero status. It wasn't particularly fuel efficient, only mustering up, at best, 33 miles per gallon on the highway in a segment where 40-mpg quickly became the new benchmark. What's more, its onboard technology and infotainment was seriously showing its age. While we'd praise the Fit's behind-the-wheel goodness all day long, this shining beacon of great steering and suspension tuning never proved to be all that wonderful for long-distance highway cruising.
Now, say hello to the 2015 Fit, hitting dealerships this spring. Worry not - it's still clever as ever from a packaging standpoint, and comes fitted with lots of newness both inside and out. It's a far more competitive vehicle than its predecessor, and has everything it takes to fight even the toughest of classmates. But just as before, our recommendation doesn't come without a few caveats.

Honda thumbs nose at fleet sales, claims it leads in key vehicle segments

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Fleet sales are a way of life in the automotive industry. There are many non-retail customers that need vehicles, but going too far can reduce brand image and vehicle resale value. While some of its competitors have fleet sale that account for up to 20 or 30 of overall sales, Honda is bragging that it has the lowest fleet sales of all mainstream automakers for the first five months of 2013.
After calculating new-car registration data from R.L. Polk, Honda says that just two percent of its sales through went to fleet customers compared to an industry average of 19 percent. Even though this means Honda leaves plenty of sales on the table each month, it also claims to have the highest resale value and lowest cost of ownership among its competitors. In terms of retail sales, Honda says that the Civic, Accord, CR-V and Odyssey all lead their respective segments, and it breaks down/brags about its retail sales success in the press release, which is posted below.

Honda execs take 'quality-related' pay cut after Fit Hybrid's 5th recall

Thu, 23 Oct 2014

Generally, the best policy in life is to admit when you're wrong and just accept the consequences. However, that attitude generally seems to be a bit less common in the world of business - at least without some government or legal prodding. So, it's especially surprising to learn that top Honda executives in Japan are taking a pay cut for the next three months following the fifth recall of the Fit Hybrid (pictured above) in the last 12 months.
According to Reuters, Chief Executive Takanobu Ito is taking a 20-percent pay cut to make amends for the quality issues. Also, 12 other high-ranking executives are taking 10 percent drops in their salaries. In addition to those temporary changes, Honda is creating a new position in charge of monitoring vehicle quality.
The latest recall fixes "noise-related defects," according to Reuters, on both the hybrid and naturally aspirated versions of the Fit, both variants of the Vezel (the sibling to the future HR-V in the US) and the N-WGN. There have also been three recalls for problems with the hybrid's seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. None of them have caused reported injuries or deaths, and these issues haven't affected US models.
