1995 Honda Accord, around 190,000 miles on the highly desired V-Tec engine. We have owned the car for about two years, but it has not been used in over 6 months because my wife purchased a new car. My grandfather purchased the car in 2004 and drove it untill 2006 when he became unable to drive. The car was not used from mid 2006 untill early 2011. My dad drove the car about once a month during that time just to keep it running. The car has sat alot and may need some TLC but it runs great. The Michalin tires were put on at 180,319 miles at a cost of $438.36. The timming belt and water pump were replaced around the same time about 180k miles by the local honda dealer at a cost of $540. A new tire and a used rim were purchused so the car would have a full size spare. I have alot of documentation from my grand father on maintance that will go with the car as well as the owners manual. Dont buy this car expection to drive it home, it has set alot and now need the clutch fixed. This is a no reserve auction!  Please look at the pictures the car dose have a few dents and dings but it is a 18 year old car with 190,000 miles.

I got in the car last week and the clutch is not working!

The reservoir won't hold fluid and the pedal is on the floor .

The local dealer said it is the slave cyclinder or the master cyclinder. ( Less then $150 part)

If you bid on this car you are entering into a leagly binding agrement to buy if you are the high bidder! This is not an offer to come kick the tires, if you win you need to pay for it.

Please pay $500 within 24 hours of auction end, full payment due in 10 days of end of auction. Car dose not leave untill check clears if you pay by check!

On Mar-17-13 at 17:56:04 PDT, seller added the following information:

Be sure to look at the Auto check, the only reason this car has had four owners is my grand father passed away the title was changed to my dad's name 5/14/11 and my wife and I got it off of him in 7/12/11 so we are really only the third owner.

Also the car has the 2.2 liter V-Tec!!!

Honda Tourer BTCC car lavished with photographic love

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

Back in December, Honda Yuasa Racing gave us one image of the Civic Tourer entrant it's fielding in the 2014 British Touring Car Championship. Thanks to media days at Brands Hatch and a few photos from Oulton Park, we've got a whole photo album of the elongated Civic that will attempt to continue Honda's BTCC winning ways and shots of drivers Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal.
This is the first wagon to race in the BTCC since 1994, when Jan Lammers and Rickard Rydel had just one year to throw the Volvo 850 Estate BTCC between the kerbing. The following year, the rules were changed so that rear wings couldn't extend above the roofline or beyond the rear bumper, which meant the end of Volvo's blue and white "pizza delivery wagon."
The season begins on March 30 at Brands Hatch, when Shedden and Neal will begin trying to wrest the driver's championship crown from Pirtek Racing. We don't know anything more about the manufacturer entry go-fast Civic Tourer, however, which means this is just an easy feast for the eyes. Because racing wagon.

Why Honda of America won't fit 2014 Fit models with start/stop

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

One of the most recent yet notable additions to the modern vehicle's growing suite of fuel-saving technologies is the humble start-stop system. It's rather simple - when the vehicle is stopped, the engine shuts off. It then fires back up when the driver starts to take his foot off the brake or step on the clutch. For one of the most important fuel sippers of the year, though, start-stop tech is a no-go.
Honda will not be offering the system on the North American-spec, non-hybrid Fit despite it being a standard item on both the hybrid (pictured above) and gas-only Japanese domestic models. According to Honda, it's ostensibly due to the momentary lag, that occurs when the gas engine re-fires and power is available. The start-stop-equipped Fits "will lose at stoplights to V6s," Nobuhiko Shishido, the lead powertrain engineer for the Fit, told Automotive News. This is just an observation on our part, but unless the new Fit turns up with dramatically more than the current car's 117 horsepower, it'll "lose at stoplights" regardless of whatever fuel-saving features are fitted.
The other issue Honda sees is more realistic. In the world of the EPA, stop-start systems are not taken into account in fuel economy testing. That makes the cost-adding technology a tough sell for US consumers who are forced to take a dealer's word on real-world economy gains over the milage numbers on the window sticker. That said, wouldn't it at least make sense to offer start-stop as an option? Have your say in the Comments below.

2015 Honda Fit

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

The last time we left our subcompact hero, the plucky Honda Fit was getting a bit long in the tooth. But the second-generation model was still holding its own rather well, and for the enthusiast on a tight budget who wanted it all, it remained the car of record in its class. If you desired an endlessly practical and reliable little hatch that was fun to drive, it didn't get much better than the Fit. Even with nearly every competitor having been fully freshened since the model's introduction in 2009, the Honda managed to fight off also-ran status simply because of how incredibly functional and great to drive it was. Long story short: we loved this car.
Of course, there were a few caveats to the Fit's superhero status. It wasn't particularly fuel efficient, only mustering up, at best, 33 miles per gallon on the highway in a segment where 40-mpg quickly became the new benchmark. What's more, its onboard technology and infotainment was seriously showing its age. While we'd praise the Fit's behind-the-wheel goodness all day long, this shining beacon of great steering and suspension tuning never proved to be all that wonderful for long-distance highway cruising.
Now, say hello to the 2015 Fit, hitting dealerships this spring. Worry not - it's still clever as ever from a packaging standpoint, and comes fitted with lots of newness both inside and out. It's a far more competitive vehicle than its predecessor, and has everything it takes to fight even the toughest of classmates. But just as before, our recommendation doesn't come without a few caveats.
