Up for sale is a 1998 Honda Accord EX. This is a 4cyl vehicle with automatic transmission.
I've had all the regular maintenance done at the local Sears auto-center and have all maintenance documents. Inspection is good till 06/2016. The car is clean from inside but has a couple of color stains on the rear seat from long before. Tires are in very good condition with a lot of tread left in them. As you can see in the pictures, the car paint has peeled from the roof, the trunk and the hood- a typical problem in Accords from that era. The paint from the sides is still intact. The car also had rain deflectors installed on all 4 doors. The rear doors deflectors broke off and I couldn't remove them cleanly enough so there are bits of plastic still glued to the door. Haven't had the time to remove them. Replaced the front brake pads and I have the rear brake pads (Hawk Performance brake pads) yet to be installed. This car has the following factory installed features: Powered windows Powered sun-roof Power assisted side rear-view mirrors Power assisted driver's side seat Remote doors lock/unlock - keyless entry and remote trunk unlock Factory OEM alloy wheels Cruise control Air conditioner Anti-theft system After-market features/installation: A long range remote engine start (excellent for winters) Magnaflow catalytic converter (replaced after 140000 miles). Kenwood KMM 100U Digital Media receiver, w/USB and head-phone jacks and with built-in support for Pandora. Pioneer TS-A1675R 6-1/2" 3-Way TS Series Coaxial FRONT Car Speakers (6 months old) Sony XPlod 6"x9" 3-way rear speakers (2 years old) I also have a set of brand new Kicker 40CS6934 6" x 9" 3-way rear speakers that I planned to install, but haven't had the time (I can give those to you for an extra $100.00) K&N air filter (no further air filter replacement required for another million miles) I recently replaced the cabin air filter for improved air flow. The A/C unit needs a gas refill. The A/C turns on and off but there is not enough cooling. Again, I haven't been able to do that due to lack of enough time. Note: I've had this car inspected at the Sears auto center and at AAMCO in Jersey City (advanced 62 point inspection) for signs of any trouble or if it needed major repairs. I've received good feedback from both shops as they did not find anything wrong with this car |

2014 Honda Odyssey gets some tidy tweaks [w/video]
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Here in New York, Honda is offering up a refreshed version of its well-liked Odyssey minivan, bringing with it a slew of updates including the segment's first in-car vacuum. It looks to be a neat little feature, one that families will no doubt get a lot of use out of. Kids are spill-machines, after all.
On the outside, the Odyssey gets a revised front end with dark headlamp surrounds, shiny cross-bars in the grille, and an aluminum hood and bumper. We think the blacked-out grille trim looks fine on this charcoal model, but question how smart it will look on models with lighter paint tones. Out back, there are new LED taillamps, and it looks like a new wheel design will be on offer, too.
Other changes for the 2014 Odyssey include some structural reinforcements for improved safety and some new available nannies like lane-departure warning and forward collision warning. Inside, buyers will find new finishes inside the cabin, a redesigned center stack and pushbutton start. Scroll down for the full details in an official video and in Honda's press release, and have a look at new images live from the show floor in the gallery above.
Honda gunning for world's longest Rose Parade float
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Honda has participated in the annual Rose Parade for the past 53 years and returns this year as the presenting sponsor for the fourth time running. But it's not satisfied merely putting its name on the event; Honda intends to lead from the front with what promises to be the longest float in the parade's long history.
The float, previewed in the rendering above, will measure 274 feet long, as tall as 30 feet high, as wide as 18 feet and weighing a whopping 50 tons with 8,980 flowers covering its surface. The train will be led by a locomotive designed to mimic the Acura NSX, with Asimo at the wheel. The second car in the train showcases a Honda engine, followed by a robotic arm, and, for the first time in the parade's history, a pair of 30-foot LED monitors displaying images of spectators lining the parade route. A caboose inspired by the Honda Jet will pick up the rear.
Oh, and in case you're wondering just who Honda will be knocking off the record books with its 274-foot train of roses, that would be... also Honda. The Japanese company set the record in 2005 with a 207-foot float. Scope out the details in the press release below and click the image above to view in high resolution.
Honda's first production jet takes off from North Carolina
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Plenty of automakers have backgrounds in aircraft manufacturing. BMW, Bristol, Mitsubishi, Saab and Spyker all started out in the airplane business. But Honda is going the opposite direction, expanding its automotive (not to mention motorcycle, ATV, marine engine and power equipment) business with the launch of the HondaJet. And that project has just taken a big step forward.
After starting production a year and a half ago, the Japanese industrial giant recently completed its first customer HondaJet, and has now taken that initial production aircraft to the skies for its landmark first flight. The aircraft left the production facility in Greensboro and took off on Friday morning from Piedmont Triad International Airport in North Carolina - the same state where the Wright Brothers undertook their first flight over a century ago.
The HondaJet undertook an 84-minute test flight, climbing to 15,500 feet and reaching a speed of 348 knots. That works out to 400 miles per hour - assuredly faster than any Honda (save for maybe a prototype for the same aircraft) has traveled before. The aircraft is designed to cruise at a maximum of 420 knots (483 mph) and reach a maximum altitude of 43,000 feet.
