2008 Honda CRV EX 4WD

My wife purchased this CRV new in October of 2008- Last few made before 09' year. The CRV has served us FLAWLESSLY without any repairs, problems or issues throughout the life so far. We have completed normal oil changes with FULL SYNTHETIC 5W-20, as required by Honda every 4-6K miles. Tires were replaced at approx 45K miles and have a 70K mile warranty( I do not know if it will transfer?). They are all around 50-60% currently. Front brakes were just replaced last November. Rears are still decent. Everything works as it should, inside and out, with the exception of the ambient air temperature sensor that shows on the dash. It is never accurate and was never an issue that I cared to pay a dealer $90/hr to look at.

The exterior has one small dent below the door handle of the Drivers side door, thanks to a shopper at the grocery store and their in-ability to put a cart in the corral! There are other small scratches and chips from normal city and highway driving, but nothing major. The interior is black and has small seat stains from normal use, but is very clean and presentable. Carpets have had weather mats on-top since the day we purchased the car so carpets aren't stained or damaged. No rips or tears in the interior.

This car served my wife VERY well and she just upgraded to a new Honda CRV. I have driven this car almost daily over the winter and am purchasing a truck so we do not need this anymore.

Car runs and drives 100% without noises, issues or problems. I do not know of any issues regarding the car. We ARE NOT selling due to an accident or problems, just selling as we do not need it and hate to let it sit! Has never been wrecked, has had a good maintenance schedule, doesn't need major expenses such as tires or repairs, and is 100% ready to drive across country.

I am selling the Honda as-is, because it is a used car. Ebay is not a chance to bid and then come to look at the car. YOU ARE BIDDING TO OWN IT! If you want to view it before the auction ends, feel free to call me at the number below. Or feel free to contact a service center locally and I can have them inspect it for you. I require a $500 non-refundable deposit thru Paypal within 24 hours, and the balance upon pick-up. You can wire the money, bring cash or wait to pick-up until ANY TYPE of check clears my account(can take up to 10 days). I will not release the car until I have the funds.

The title is 100% clean and free of loans/leans and is in my possession. Call with questions or concerns. Andrew 419-810-904two

Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan recall 3.4 million vehicles for faulty airbags

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Most vehicle recalls that take place these days are a result of some problem that happens during the manufacturing process by the automaker, but as we see here, parts suppliers can also factor in to problematic safety issues. Automotive News is reporting that a total of 3.4 million vehicles produced by Japanese automakers between 2000 and 2004 are being recalled globally due to faulty airbags produced by an outside supplier, Takata Corp.
According to the report, vehicles from Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda are being recalled because of passenger front airbags that do not inflate properly. Globally, Toyota is said to be recalling around 1.73 million cars including 510,000 in the US composed of Toyota Corolla, Matrix, Sequoia and Tundra as well as the Lexus SC430 for the 2001 through 2003 model years; this is the second time this year the 2003 Corolla and Matrix have been recalled for an airbag problem. Honda is recalling 1.14 million models, Nissan another 480,000 and Mazda 45,463. The article says that Takata supplied faulty airbags to non-Japanese automakers, but it did not specify which ones.
Honda and Toyota have released information on their own websites about the recall, while Nissan and Mazda have not yet commented. Read official press releases from Honda and Toyota, below, and look for updates as we have word from the others.

NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.

Newest version of Honda's ASIMO coming to TV on April 15

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

Honda's ASIMO robot is moving into its teenage years, having originally been introduced in 2000, and like all teens, it's still learning. The bot has received regular incremental upgrades over that time, and the latest version will premiere on LIVE with Kelly and Michael on Tuesday, April 15.
The newest enhancements provide ASIMO with improved hand dexterity, the ability to use sign language, run faster, climb stars more smoothly, balance on one foot, jump and more. Honda says other new features will be demonstrated with hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on the show.
The ongoing development of ASIMO, which stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility, is being done so that one day it can help humans who require assistance. The current version is 4-feet, 3-inches tall, weighs 110 pounds and is made mostly from magnesium alloy and plastic. A big limit is still its lithium-ion battery that only provides 40 minutes of charge. The robot has not needed human control to move since a previous iteration in 2011, which also improved its manual dexterity. It could even pour drinks.
