1993 Honda Del Sol si 1.6 liter motor automatic transmission 141,000 miles power windows power mirrors tinted windows cruise control cd player Aftermarket smoked tail lights all four tires are like new brakes are like new a/c is ice cold top does not leak The car has been exceptionally well maintained. All of the following were installed new, I have included dates and have all receipts as well: fuel pump and fuel filter 6/25/2014 distributor 3/27/2014 rack and pinion and tie rods 4/12/2012 rear trail arm bushings 4/12/2012 brake master cylinder 4/12/2012 timing belt and water pump 3/2/2012 front and rear struts 3/12/2012 stabilizer links and bushings 3/12/2012 oil pan and gasket 2/24/2012 The only bad to speak of is a tiny spot on the driver side fender (see picture) and the back bumper could use a tiny bit of touch up paint (see pictures) The only mechanical problem at all is the brakes seem a little soft. They stop the car perfectly well but they travel closer to the floor than I think they should. The master cylinder has already been replaced and all four calipers have been bled. No air whatsoever in the lines. The fluid never goes down. We just can't figure it out. But AGAIN the car will stop no problem! We just wanted to be as honest about the car as we can. We know how it feels to drive a long way to see something and find things that you SHOULD have been told. The car runs and drives like a new one and is a MAJOR head turner! It is a very comfortable ride with the tinted windows and cold air. But also a lot of fun with the top off and the back window down! This is a really great car. The ONLY reason we are selling is because we had to have a truck. Bid with confidence! |

Acura NSX prototype gets back on track
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Developing a new vehicle is not without its complications, we're sure, but usually things follow a fairly predictable progression: you develop a prototype, you test it, test it and test it again, then you put it into production. What you don't expect is that your prototype will burn to the ground, but that's what famously happened to the NSX which Honda engineers were testing a few months ago.
Fortunately, the Acura NSX prototype is back on track, both literally and figuratively, as you can see from this latest batch of spy shots snapped at the Nürburgring. This camouflaged prototype looks pretty much the same as the last one, only, you know... less crispy. Which is to say, it looks pretty much ready to hit showrooms.
The naysayers may point out that Honda chose colder and damper weather to put the NSX back into testing - thereby mitigating the risk of another fire - but we're sure the Japanese automaker has been working hard to fix the flammability issues, whatever may have caused them, over the past few months. At least, we hope they have.
Honda favoring turbo over hybrid for US-market Vezel
Fri, 20 Dec 2013While Honda gears up to unveil the new Fit to the US market at the Detroit Auto Show next month, back in its home market, the car's crossover cousin is just going on sale. The Vezel was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last month and already has a three-month waiting list in Japan, where Honda projects that 90 percent of customers will opt for the hybrid version. Not so in the United States, however.
When the Vezel reaches American showrooms, there'll be a number of key differences. For starters, it will carry a different name, though Honda isn't saying what that will be. For another, it will be built for North American consumption at Honda's new plant in Mexico, roughly half of whose production capacity is reportedly being allocated to the new crossover. And finally, it'll have a different engine.
In Japan the Vezel is being offered with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, with or without electric assist. Honda won't offer the hybrid version here - at least not initially - but it is preparing to offer a turbo option. Although it has yet to announce US specifications and options, the 1.5-liter turbo four (also unveiled at the Tokyo show) is considered a stronger likelihood than the 1.0- or 2.0-liter versions.
Honda says Accord is America's best-selling car among actual consumers
Fri, 21 Feb 2014The latest round of new vehicle registration data has been good for Honda - three of the Japanese brand's models are retail sales leaders and the Accord was the most registered car built in America in 2013, according to the data compiled by Polk. In fact, 360,089 units of the family sedan were purchased by individual consumers last year, an increase of 12.2 percent.
There was also good news from the Civic and CR-V camps, as those two models topped their respective segments in terms of retail (non-fleet) sales, with each notching over 300,000 registrations. Combined with the Accord, this trio of Hondas accounted for a whopping 1.11 million retail sales last year.
