2000 Honda Odyssey Lx Mini Passenger Van 5-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Lincolnton, North Carolina, United States
201,000 miles, ABS (4-wheel), Air Conditioning front & rear, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, AM/FM Stereo with single-disc CD player, Dual Air Bags, Power driver's seat, Leather seats, Quad Seating (4 buckets), Privacy Glass, Alloy Wheels. Seats 7 comfortably. Comfy ride, easy to drive! This vehicle is in Fair condition under Kelley Blue Book standards (high end of Fair, low end of Good). Runs well, engine is in good shape, transmission was rebuilt in 2011. A minor non-essential electrical item needs repair (right side door locks do not unlock automatically but have to be manually locked/unlocked). Some body damage on right side, only cosmetic, from a minor side-impact accident. Seats are in excellent shape, the only blemish is a small tear on the left of the driver's seat (from normal wear & tear) - pictured. In back seat row, right side body panel, the fabric has come loose but can likely be re-secured with a moderate skill level. Ceiling above back right seat has a short tear in it (has not drooped or gotten longer in the 5 years it's been there). We are the third and fourth owner (my mother purchased it initially and then transferred the title to us), purchased it in 2004 with about 60,000 miles on it. Have done all the maintenance services recommended by Honda, and regular oil changes. This has been a highly dependable van! Also comes with a UHaul brand towing kit hitch (not installed) which I will include with the vehicle for free. |

Honda Super Cub first vehicle to receive 3D trademark in Japan
Tue, 03 Jun 2014The term "iconic" gets thrown around a lot, but if there was ever a design worthy of the honorific, surely it's the Honda Super Cub. That's not just our opinion, though: it's the official word from the Japanese Patent Office, which has recognized the classic scooter's shape with a three-dimensional trademark.
The category was introduced in Japan back in 1997 to immortalize distinctive designs, and is subject to very strict criteria. In fact, this marks the first time it has been applied to a vehicle - and one of the few industrial products to be awarded the recognition.
Little wonder it was applied to this little wonder, too. With over 87 million units made since its introduction in 1958, Honda claims the Super Cub to be "the world's largest selling vehicle," with production taking place at 15 factories in 14 countries and sales in 160 markets around the world.
Honda recalling 871,000 SUVs and minivans over rollaway fear
Wed, 12 Dec 2012Honda is recalling 871,000 SUVs and minivans for an issue in which the vehicles may roll away after the key has been removed from the ignition. Ninety-two percent of the recalled vehicles, or 807,000 vehicles, are in the US. According to a report from Reuters, the effected vehicles include certain numbers of the Honda Odyssey and Pilot, as well as the Acura MDX. Here are the recall figures:
2003-2004 Honda Odyssey: 318,000 vehicles
2003-2004 Honda Pilot: 259,000 vehicles
Honda thumbs nose at fleet sales, claims it leads in key vehicle segments
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Fleet sales are a way of life in the automotive industry. There are many non-retail customers that need vehicles, but going too far can reduce brand image and vehicle resale value. While some of its competitors have fleet sale that account for up to 20 or 30 of overall sales, Honda is bragging that it has the lowest fleet sales of all mainstream automakers for the first five months of 2013.
After calculating new-car registration data from R.L. Polk, Honda says that just two percent of its sales through went to fleet customers compared to an industry average of 19 percent. Even though this means Honda leaves plenty of sales on the table each month, it also claims to have the highest resale value and lowest cost of ownership among its competitors. In terms of retail sales, Honda says that the Civic, Accord, CR-V and Odyssey all lead their respective segments, and it breaks down/brags about its retail sales success in the press release, which is posted below.
