2002 Honda Odyssey Cargo Mini Cargo Van 5-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Booneville, Mississippi, United States
2002 Honda Odyssey EXL If you need a great reliable family van, here is one. I have owned this van for 12 years. I purchased it from a doctor in our hometown when it had 49,000 miles on it. The only major repair I have had to do is to replace the transmission. HONDA HAD A MAJOR FLAW WITH TRANSMISSION FOR A FEW YEARS! When vans of this model reached about 130, 000 miles, the trans began to have issues. Honda finally agreed and paid 50 % of the replacement cost. I now have less than 199,000 miles on the van and have never again had any issues with the transmission. This van is loaded with everything except a sunroof and navigation. All power seats, heated seats, power sliding doors still function properly. I would not hesitate to drive this van anywhere. *Someone side-swiped the van on the right side and we had to have it repainted about 3 years ago. Our little dog chewed a wire under the seat about the same time as we had the trans replaced. No issues since the repair.
The only thing Honda has told me to replace is something they will pay for. A sensor on an airbag needs replacing. This is a used vehicle. If you are expecting a new vehicle, please do not bid on this van. No warranty written or implied. All sales final unless grossly misrepresented. * Seller reserves the right to end auction early due to local sales. 662-416-4043 Please call if you have questions.

Honda Fit loses Recommended rating from Consumer Reports
Thu, 23 Jan 2014Thanks to its poor performance in the most recent round of Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing, where it received the lowest overall score in the small-overlap test, Consumer Reports has bumped the Honda Fit from its "Recommended" list. When a car gets bumped from the magazine's coveted ranks, it's usually cause for concern. This is not one of those times.
As there is a new Fit barreling towards dealerships for an on-sale date this spring, we wouldn't pay too much credence to the current car's demotion. It's expected that the next-generation Fit should pass the test with flying colors, as CR is quick to point out that newer Hondas have traditionally done very well in the tricky small-overlap crash testing.
Of the subcompact cars tested by the IIHS, only the Kia Rio, which netted a "Marginal" score overall, is a Consumer Reports "Recommended" vehicle.
2014 Honda Odyssey first minivan to earn Top Safety Pick+ award [w/video]
Thu, 29 Aug 2013You know an automaker is confident about the safety of its vehicles when it asks one of the top crash test agencies to destroy one of its newest models. That's exactly what happened with the 2014 Honda Odyssey. According the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Honda requested that the agency run the updated Odyssey through its full barrage of tests, and for good reason.
Aside from slight styling upgrades and a new optional HondaVac built-in vacuum cleaner, the 2014 Odyssey was also given a more rigid passenger compartment using high-strength steel to help better protect occupants. It obviously worked. Following the crash tests, the 2014 Odyssey became the first minivan to earn a Top Safety Pick+ rating, but, more importantly, it did so with "Good" ratings in all five crash categories (four "Goods" and one "Acceptable" are enough for the TSP+). Impressive.

Watch this to get excited about seeing Honda back in F1
Thu, 09 Oct 2014Honda engines were the dominant force in Formula One through portions of the '80s and '90s, powering championship-winning teams at Williams and McLaren. It tried to recapture some of that magic in the 2000s but wasn't nearly as successful. For the 2015 F1 season, the Japanese brand is returning to the paddock yet again as a partner with McLaren, and in a new video it's acknowledging all of those past victories while looking forward to the uncertain future.
The video offers yet another chance to hear Honda's mill, and this time it's doing a simulated lap of Suzuka. Unfortunately, it's not entirely a joy to listen to. Like most of the current F1 field, it's a bit droning and just lacks the piercing scream of yesteryear.
With so many years out of the F1 game and completely different engine rules to overcome, the brand is essentially coming back to the sport blind. But any new competitors are a welcome addition to a series that can sometimes get rather staid. Maybe Honda and McLaren can rekindle their old flame to win another championship.
