1990 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si Coupe 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
North Ridgeville, Ohio, United States
I purchased the vehicle last year. from a company I hired to
find me a rust free southern Honda
Prelude. They notified me that there was
one in Georgia. But that it was in a
small fender bender. , and I had to buy it back from an insurance company to get
it. Hence.. This vehicle that I am selling is a SALVAGE REBUILT vehicle, and it has a Salvage rebuilt title. . Although I purchased it in the state of
Georgia. It is located in North Ridgeville Ohio. It also has the same original dent that caused
it to get into the salvage situation.. left rear quarter panel. I had it shipped to Ohio and noticed the original
exhaust system was hanging on by a thread so I replaced it with a new one. The sunroof
has a crack in it. it is two cracks that cross each other.. and is hard to notice unless you stare closely at it.. The thing I havnt had time to investigate is
the fact that it is seeping oil. It seems
like a clear oil.. so it may be power
steering fluid.. could be regular oil. There are some dings on the both sides of the
car. A small crease on the driver’s door. A ding on the roof.. a small scrape on the rear left side of the bumper.. And some blemishes, nicks
and scratches on the vehicle exist.
There is a section on the rear trunk lid that the paint is blemished..and
can be found in a picture... and of course the dent on the rear quarter panel. As I
attempt to pick on all the little defects of the car.. I’de say the little
thing looks pretty good and runs great. The transmission is
manual, and it shifts well. The clutch
is good. Brakes are fine. The emergency brake works. The tires are fine for now.. but will need replacing since they are over half worn. It does drive down the road strait, has plenty of power. The thing is fun to take for a spin. I am not giving any warranty with the car.. since it’s almost a
quarter century old. I am leaving the door open for anybody who would like to test drive the Honda.. (440)759-9683 if you would like to stop by
while it is up for auction. It does have
almost 145,600 miles on it.. I havn’t seen rust so far on the vehicle which
is what I was concerned about. The
underneath is solid...The interior in good condition. I tried to be overly critical of the car in explaining it to you, that way the new owner has no surprises. But overall, I think it looks nice, runs well, and .. is gonna be a fun car.. for whoever obtains the little a Honda. have a nice day.

Is Honda working on airbags for smartphones?
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Smartphones are expensive yet delicate - a single impact on a hard surface can shatter their touchscreens, often damaging them beyond repair. Fitting a case offers only so much protection, but what about an airbag? Honda has explored the concept with the airbag-equipped Case N and even made a video about it. But alas, it isn't real.
For some reason, we really want it to be. Honda has a knack for surprising us with nearly unbelievable inventions designed to improve mankind's quality of life, contraptions like the Walking Assist Device and the UNI-CUB personal mobility devices, so the Case N isn't as far-fetched an idea for the company as you might think.
Head below to watch the video, where you can see the Case N concept in action. You'll also see its generous proportions, which is one reason why it's just a case of Honda humor - not (yet) a market reality.
Fire up your 3D printer! Honda releases data for several of its past concepts [w/video]
Thu, 30 Jan 2014Futurists have been treating 3D printing like it is the second coming of the Industrial Revolution for years. Everyone will have a 3D printer in their garage and be able make practically anything at home before you know it, right? Well... not quite.
While we can imagine a piece of trim breaking on our car and being able to download the file to print a new one at home, the reality is that 3D printing is still in its earliest stages as a consumer device. Still, Honda is capitalizing on the technology by allowing people to make models of its concept cars at home.
The Honda 3D Design Archive currently consists of five models based on the Fuya-Jo, FSR, Kiwami, Puyo, and NSX concepts. The printer files can be downloaded from the web and carry Creative Commons 4.0 licenses, which allow them to be freely shared. Honda promises that more files will be added to the archive soon.
2015 Civic Type R will make 'at least' 276 hp from 2.0L turbo [w/video]
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Honda may not actually be showing off the production form of its upcoming Euro-only 2015 Civic Type R at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year, but it did take advantage of the focused media attention to make a pretty cool announcement. In addition to dropping a really hot video of the new Type R testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Honda Europe president, Manabu Nishimae, gifted us with some juicy details about the coming hot hatch.
Nishimae confirmed rumors that this Type R would make use of a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, while telling us that the mill would be good for an output of "at least 280 PS." A raw conversion from PS (metric horsepower) to standard horsepower gives us a figure of about 276 hp, or very near the rumored figure of 300 galloping, front-wheeled ponies.
The company will need each ounce of output from its new 2.0-liter engine if it is to meet its stated performance target: making the Civic Type R the fastest front-wheel-drive production car around the 'Ring. Apparently this last session of testing, with World Touring Car Championship driver Gabriele Tarquini at the wheel, has already gotten Honda close to the lap record. Scroll down to read Honda's brief press release about the upcoming Type R, and, more importantly, to listen to the car as it's throttled around the track.
