2008 Honda Ridgeline Rts Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Murphy, North Carolina, United States
2008 4 door with 85,000 miles. Honda Ridgeline RTS model. Room for 5 people. 5 Ft. cargo bed with extended bedliner bar. Leather upholstery. Heaters in both front seats, sun roof/moon roof combination. Tilts up or completely opens. Dual climate zones in front and separate air in back. Alloy wheels, 247 HP 3.5 liter engine. V-6 automatic. All wheel drive which is called VTM4 is standard and reverts front wheel drive in dry pavement and automatically send power to the rear wheels when traction is needed. There is a button on the dash for rear differential lock. The unibody 4 wheel independent suspension provides a very smooth ride. There are 2 front and 2 side air bags. There is a roll over sensor, antilock braking system, stability control, great navigation system that is much more accurate than others I have had. I added hard mudflaps, a towing package and the main reason I purchased the vehicle is due to the hidden trunk. It's great to store extra
items and wonderful to be used during tailgating. Still have some payoff on a bank loan but they are willing to release the title quickly. Any further questions call 828 361-0653. I am the little old lady that takes care of the vehicle you always want to buy. All oil changes have been done every 3000 miles on schedule. |

Honda wins Commercial of the Decade, but not for the ad you think [w/VIDEO]
Fri, 18 Dec 2009Honda's Commercial of the Decade: "Grrr" - Click above to watch video
The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
Honda recalls 2012-13 Fit Sport models over stability control issue
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Honda is recalling 43,782 examples of the 2012 and 2013 Fit Sport in the US and close to 2,000 more in Canada. During federal compliance testing it was discovered that the software for the Vehicle Stability Assist allows an excessive tilt angle before applying the brakes to prevent a crash. The issue only affects Fit Sports equipped with a certain kind of tire.
Honda will notify owners in mid-May, at which time owners can take their cars to dealers to have the stability control software updated free of charge. There's a press release from Honda below with more details.

New cars under recall must be repaired before a dealer can sell them but used cars are under no such mandate.
When it comes to informing the car-buying public about potential safety hazards on used vehicles, there are two emerging schools of thought among used-car dealers.
