You are looking at a very nice example of a 2001 Honda S 2000 dressed in New Formula Red paint on the outside and Black leather inside.
The 2.0 liter inline four cylinder engine may well be the best 2.0 liter gas engine ever built - producing an amazing 240 horsepower from the factory and red-lined at a crazy 9,000 RPM. This one has not been tracked, modified or abused which is rare for these cars as they dare you to drive them in a spirited fashion. I am the second owner and the car has always been in Middle Tennessee so there is no rust to deal with. There is no accident history on this one. The plastic bumpers appear to have been repainted because there are no usual scratches or chips. No paint work has ever been done to the body that I can tell. There are no known mechanical issues - everything works as it should. Local inspections are welcomed by appointment. Winning bidder should contact seller within 48 hours of auction close to arrange payment and pickup. Pickup only unless buyer arranges for vehicle transport . Honda next to open museum to Google Street View

Then we've got good news, because The House That Ferruccio Built isn't the only automotive museum in cyberspace: now the Honda Collection Hall has opened its doors to the crew from Mountain View, too.
The Honda Collection Hall, for those who haven't made it out to Japan's Tochigi Prefecture, is a grand three-story museum dedicated to all things Honda. It's located at the Twin Ring Motegi, and has been open since 1998. Inside visitors will find everything from robots and scooters to SUVs and racing cars. But if you can't make it there in person, you can check out all three levels of floorspace on Street View right from the comfort of your home. Honda settles class-action lawsuit over oil-burning V6s
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Although we hadn't heard of this issue before, Automotive News reports that Honda has agreed to settle a massive class-action lawsuit brought against it for engine trouble potentially affecting nearly 1.6 million vehicles. The lawsuit includes Accord (2008-12), Odyssey (2008-13), Pilot (2009-13) and Crosstour (2010-13) models equipped with the 3.5-liter V6 with Variable Cylinder Management, which might experience engine misfire, excessive oil burning and premature spark plug fouling issues.
As part of the settlement, Honda will extend the powertrain warranty on these models for eight years (from time of purchase or lease) with no mileage limitation, and it will also reimburse customers who had to pay out-of-pocket expenses for related repairs such as spark plugs, pistons or, in some cases, apparently, an entirely new engine. (Of course, the repairs had to be related to certain trouble codes.) Lawyers will get no more than $800,000 from Honda and the guy who originally started the case, Vince Eagen, will get $1,000 for his "time and effort."

Honda Civic Type R Concept is the shape of hot things to come
Thu, 02 Oct 2014Soon, kids. Soon. The next-generation Honda Civic Type R is finally coming, and we're getting another preview of the hot hatch here at the Paris Motor Show. Of course, this one probably won't be headed to the United States (boo!), but it doesn't mean we can't get excited. After all, we're big fans of little turbo hatches, and from what we know right now, this one sure sounds sweet.
Underneath that new blue paint and red decals is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, reportedly good for 276 horsepower. Honda tells us there's a "steer axis" system with adaptive dampers, and with the push of its +R button, the suspension, steering and torque mapping are all altered to make this Type R even more Type R-ier than before. In fact, Honda says this Civic will surpass every Type R that came before it - that means every Integra, Accord, Civic and even the NSX. Hot diggity.
