Year:2006 Mileage:37870
Location:

Ottsville, Pennsylvania, United States

Ottsville, Pennsylvania, United States

The Hyundai Tiburon pictured BELOW has proven very dependable since my original ownership in October 2006. I have since accumulated a majority of the (37,870) miles on highways, traveling periodically between home and Millersville Univ./Univ. of IL. After recently becoming employed close to home, I purchased a boat requiring a larger (4WD) vehicle for towing. I have consistently recorded ~30 mpg and will miss this efficiency. As the video/pictures below convey, I have always stored the car inside (during prolonged periods with a car cover - pictured - offered free of charge with the car) and only recently was forced to drive in the rain and on salty and/or cinder-covered roads. Still...this car drives/runs like the day I bought it - 07 October 2006 - brand-new (with 41 miles) and looks similarly clean. The interior is immaculate and has NEVER been subject to smoke, water, etc.

replacements/additions:
oil/filter - 2855, 5206, 8359, 10996, 13352, 15458, 17632, 20147, 23084, 25736, 28813, 32054, and 35170 miles (oil pictured below has been run for ~2700 rural miles)
tire - 1 new (left front) at 15K miles - b/c original tread punctured by nail close to sidewall
clutch master cylinder - b/c plastic push rod connector broke at pedal pivot at 11K miles
exhaust - SSAUTOCHROME super dual catback stainless steel (from catalytic converter back) installed at 10K miles - sounds great (see video); original exhaust (pictured) WILL BE provided to buyer
air filter - AEM short ram intake installed at 15K miles, replaced with K&N filter at 26K miles
battery - Deka 6124RMF at 29K miles (May 2013)
cabin air filter - Wix 24689 at 29K miles (May 2013)
coolant - drained (not flushed) and refilled with Prestone 50/50 prediluted at 29K miles
iTouch, iPod, etc. connection - Sony CPA 9C car cassette adapter (cord pictured)

minor cosmetic issues:
stone chip in lower front windshield, repaired (under comprehensive)
isolated stone chips on front bumper, hood
scratch in left side of plastic rear and front bumpers, touched up
scuff/scratch marks on lower side of front bumper, touched up

notable stock features (see original window sticker pictured):
dual front and side airbags
automatic temperature control – cold A/C
power sunroof
heated dual power mirrors
Infinity 360-watt audio, 6 speakers + subwoofer

sold AS IS (that is - as pictured), cash/check only - payment to be confirmed in full before transferring ownership/title
Payment in full must be received within 10 days of the auction close or buyer will be reported and ad relisted.

Autoblog Podcast #317:

Hyundai ranks highest in Total Value Awards with Equus leading all cars

Sat, 16 Nov 2013

Hyundai has taken the cake in Strategic Vision's 18th Total Value Index. The study, which looked at 45,952 new car buyers for 2013 models between September 2012 and March 2013, looks at the ownership experience along with the customer's views on the economic impact of the purchase in both the near and long term.
For the first time, Hyundai was ranked as the leading brand for Total Value, while its Equus luxury sedan scored both the highest overall score and took the crown in the luxury segment. Other Hyundai winners included the Sonata (tied with Fusion), Genesis Coupe and Elantra.
Ford scored quite well, too, taking the segment titles with the Fiesta Sedan (which tied with Elantra), Fusion, Focus Hatchback, Taurus (tied with Dodge Charger), Explorer and Lincoln Navigator. General Motors' cars and trucks managed to capture eight segments, while Toyota topped six areas.

Hyundai prices three-row Santa Fe from $28,350*

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Each extra inch in the wheelbase of the six- and seven-passenger 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, compared to the five-seat Santa Fe Sport, will cost you $1,000. The larger version of Hyundai's new people carrier is 3.9 inches longer, and whereas the Santa Fe Sport was priced at $24,450, the roomier Santa Fe comes in four flavors that start at $28,350 for the front-wheel drive GLS version. Adding all-wheel drive to the GLS tacks on another $1,750, stepping up to the front-wheel Limited takes you to $33,100, the all-wheel drive Limited topping things out at $34,850. For the true price, you'll need to add *$845 to those prices for freight.
The base price is the same as Hyundai's previous seven-seater option, the Veracruz, slapped on a vehicle with much better looks and more features. Compared to the Santa Fe Sport, the six- and seven-passenger option has 8.5 extra inches in overall length, 1.9 extra inches of second-row legroom and that third row of seating in its hind quarters. The second row can be had as a traditional bench or captain's chairs on the Limited. Under the hood is the same 3.3-liter direct-injection V6 with 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed Shiftronic transmission, and the same EPA estimated 25 highway miles per gallon for the FWD version.
You also get extra standard amenities like a 115-volt socket, power liftgate and rear-seat climate controls. Check out the press release below to find out all about them.
