The 2011 Infiniti G37 includes sedan, coupe, and convertible body styles. Each comes powered by Infiniti's fantastic 3.7L V6, which in the sedan and convertible produces 328 hp, and in the coupe 330 hp. A 7-speed automatic is standard, though a 6-speed manual is available on Sport models. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available in the sedan and coupe. G37 convertibles feature a three-piece power retractable hardtop that opens and closes in an unconventional clamshell way to minimize bulk when folded.A new sedan model also joins the lineup for 2011. The G25 is powered by a 2.5L, 24-valve V6, and like the 3.7L it benefits from continuously variable valve timing. It produces 218 hp comes mated to the 7-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but like its sibling, an all-wheel-drive model is available. G37 sedans come equipped as Journey, xAWD or Sport trims, while coupes also include a base model beneath the Journey. Convertibles are equipped as either base or Sport trims. G25 sedans include base, Journey and xAWD trims.All Infiniti G models are very well equipped--even base models, which feature power everything, 17-inch alloy wheels, push-button ignition, leather seating, Xenon headlights, speed-sensing wipers and an AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3 compatibility and XM satellite radio. Journey trims add heated side mirrors, dual zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, a rear view camera and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated compass and HomeLink universal transceiver.G37x AWD models start off like a Journey, but add Intelligent all-wheel drive, which instantly adapts to changing road surfaces and conditions by sending power to the wheels that need it most, enhancing traction and control in less-than ideal driving situations. Sport models are highlighted by a viscous limited-slip differential, a specially tuned suspension, bigger brakes at all four corners, special exterior touches, a power moonroof, 10-way seat adjustability for the driver, dual seat memory and aluminum pedals. Sport trim also features a Bose premium stereo system with a 9.3-GB Music Box hard drive and 7-inch display for media playback.A Premium Package includes the Bose audio system, power moonroof, and more, while a Navigation Package adds Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System with touch-screen, Lane Guidance and 3-D building graphics, plus the 9.3-gig hard drive and 7-inch media display.

Infiniti to offer pair of designer Q50 sedans on Gilt.com
Fri, 06 Sep 2013As Infiniti continues to roll out its 2014 Q50, the luxury branch of Nissan is looking to the online luxury purveyors at Gilt to move a couple of special editions of the new luxury sedan. Infiniti has teamed with designers Thom Browne and Zac Posen to create a pair of unique Q50 models, as part of the sale.
The exterior of Browne's car is finished in nearly reflective chrome. Now, we'd love to hold that against him (it's a bit too Bieber), but we think the interior that includes the designer's signature red, white and blue stripes and sterling silver accents is a bit classier. Posen's Q50 is more subdued, with a shades that seem to blend into each other. This ombré look starts in a light silver matte up front before terminating in a glossy, dark gray in back. We know plenty about the appearance of these two cars, but we're kind of in the dark about which powertrain they feature.
Rather than just throw these up on the web and pocket the profits, Infiniti is doing it right. It'll donate proceeds from each car's $75,000 sale price to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As for the people that shell out $75K for the unique Q50s? Not only will they get a new vehicle, but they'll be gifted a $10,000 shopping spree on Gilt, along with a "style consultation."
Infiniti's Palmer announces QX30 small crossover production
Mon, 30 Jun 2014The name of the game these days in the luxury marketplace is premium compacts. BMW has the 1 Series and 2 Series, Mercedes the A-Class, B-Class, CLA and GLA, Audi has the A1 and A3, even Lexus has the CT 200h. Among the last to get in on the action is Infiniti, but that's all about to change.
Nissan's luxury brand has been working towards a premium compact for some time, revealing the Q30 concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year and signing a new deal with Daimler to help develop and produce it. Now it seems that both it and a crossover version have been approved for production.
The news comes from Andy Palmer, Nissan's UK-based COO, chairman of Infiniti and one of the company's top executives under CEO Carlos Ghosn. Late last week Palmer tweeted the following:
Infiniti announces pricing for 2014 QX60 and QX70
Tue, 23 Jul 2013With the exception of the G37, customers walking into Infiniti showrooms this summer are going to see a bunch of different names pop up as the automaker switches to its new Q-for-car and QX-for-crossover/SUV naming convention for 2014. The first of these renamed models are the 2014 QX60 (which replaces the JX) starting at $41,550* and the 2014 QX70 (which replaces the FX) priced at $44,950* (*prices do not include $995 for destination), and both are on sale now.
Compared to the outgoing models, the new QX60 (seen above, click to enlarge) lineup starts $300 more than the outgoing JX models (base and AWD), while pricing for the QX70 will remain the same as the trio of 2013 FX models (FX37, FX37 AWD and FX50). What is still unclear is how much the all-new QX60 Hybrid model will cost or how much option and package pricing will change, if any. Scroll down for more info on the new QX60 and QX70 crossovers.
