1968 XKE Convertible with Glass Covered Headlights 44k Original Miles
Click on the top picture at the top left of this ad for a slide show. This xke convertible is a Beautiful
combination of Old English White and Red interior and redline tires.  It was stored 30 years and has an Original
44,249 miles! It has had a series one bonnet with glass covered headlights installed at a cost of $8,000.  It has
series one wheels with  new series one spinners.  From the outside, this car is EXACTLY like a series one car. It
has new urethane paint to include the inside of the bonnet. The engine compartment has been detailed to nice street
standards.  The rear chrome exhaust resonators are new. The interior has new front carpet and new large hardura
behind the seats. The seats look like series one seats but recline, making for a far more comfortable ride. The
chrome is a 9 of ten.  The tires are Michelin 185x15 red lines with excellent tread.  There is a gold Lucas sport
coil. The original engine has compression that is Excellent at 160 across all cylinders, lending support for the
low miles. The car runs and drives great with 40 lbs of oil pressure hot at speed and  30 lbs at idle.  There is
a high speed fan and modified radiator so that even in 90% +  the temperature guage never gets past the center.
The front end is tight with no rattles.  The handling is superb.  The brakes, clutch, and synchros are excellent.
The bonnet has no filler in the front of the nose, like most.  The hinge points for the bonnet are excellent.
The floors and trunk floor are all solid. The Old English White with red interior and redline tires is a very
classy and beautiful look. The car looks great and performs excellently. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

Jaguar XF gets performance-look R-Sport trim

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

If you're looking for all the style of a sports sedan but without the added expense of springing for a full-on performance model (and keeping it fed with fuel and fresh tires), most European automakers will gladly hook you up with an all-show, no-go package. BMW has its M-Sport aero kits, Audi its S-Line, and Mercedes its AMG Sport packs. And now Jaguar is getting in on the action with the launch of the new R-Sport line.
Set to be introduced on the XF at the Geneva Motor Show, the R-Sport trim at least some of the flash of the XFR or XFR-S but with a more economical engine and a relatively accessible price of entry. (This is, after all, still a Jag.) The XF R-Sport is distinguished by a sportier front bumper, side sills, rear spoiler, 17-inch wheels and unique badging to set it apart from any "ordinary" Jaguar XF. The interior is upgraded as well, and there's an optional black styling pack to take things even further.
Jaguar is offering the XF R-Sport in either sedan or wagon form with the 2.2-liter turbodiesel producing 161 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, fitted with a spot-start system to make it a far more frugal option than the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 in the real deal. Although this version won't be coming to US as you see it here, Jaguar tells Autoblog it's always possible it'll produce a similar aesthetic treatment for the North American market - just don't count on such models arriving under diesel motivation. We'll take a closer look at them in Geneva next week, but for now, you can check out the gallery and press release below for an idea of what to expect.

Jaguar working on lighter F-Type with C-X75's twin-charged engine?

Wed, 09 Jul 2014

Every automaker has its own agenda when it comes to concept cars. Some roll them out just to showcase where it's heading. Others create them to gauge public opinion for a potential production model. Still others only showcase a concept car to preview a model that's already well underway. Jaguar is just such a company.
In the last several years, Coventry has only produced a handful of concept cars, and each of them - the C-X16 that foreshadowed the F-Type, the C-X17 that previews the upcoming crossover and Project 7 that is now entering limited production - has led straight to the introduction of a new, commercially available model. Except for one: the C-X75.
The extreme lightweight supercar was set to succeed the XJ220 with a number of advanced technologies, but unfortunately Jaguar ended up pulling the plug to watch from the sidelines as McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche got all the attention for their new hybrid hypercars. But that doesn't mean that some of the technologies initially developed for the C-X75 won't find their way into other Jaguar products.

Entry-level Jaguar X-Type successor due in 2015, crossover a year later

Mon, 26 Nov 2012

Jaguar's future product plans keep on slipping, slipping, slipping onto the internet, and the latest on it's entry-level luxury challenger is a 2015 due date. According to Automobile magazine, "most significant game-changer from Coventry" will be arriving on the same PLA platform that supports the Jaguar XJ and 2013 Range Rover. Kacher says the small sedan has already got the green light as codename X760, and will bow first as a four-door sedan, then as a crossover a year later.
This puts a date to a recent Autocar report that a small sedan and crossover were in the works. We've been getting reports of and concepts for a successor to the X-Type ever since Tata bought Jaguar - like the Bertone B99 concept last year, and this enthusiast concept more recently - since everyone knows it's what has to happen for "a new Jaguar" to succeed. We're looking forward to seeing what the English maker comes up with; if it remains true to form, it could be one of the few luxury competitors whose distinct model each look, well, truly distinct.
