1969 Jaguar E-type on 2040-cars
Merrimac, Wisconsin, United States
ANY QUESTIONS JUST EMAIL ME: herbhrruggle@churchsociety.net . Meticulously restored without regard to expense. Over $120K spent (all documented) on top of the value of the
original car. If you are considering a restoration project of your own, please reconsider as you can buy this car
at a fraction of the price. Imagine buying a Jaguar brand new in 1969 and then put it in a time capsule. Open the
time capsule today and this is what you have. You can spend ridiculous time and money trying to duplicate this
finished vehicle or you can buy this one, complete and mint for a fraction of the cost. All numbers are correct
and verified by the supplied Heritage documentation.
Every single nut and bolt was removed, inspected, restored or replaced. All mechanicals including a major items
like a complete motor rebuild, gearbox rebuild and fresh rear end assembly. The red urethane paint in flawless,
chrome and all brightwork is impeccable. The biscuit leather interior looks amazing and fits as it should. There
is nothing to do on this car.
Everything works as you would expect on new 1969 Jaguar XKE. Driving the car is a wonderful experience. The
engine fires easily without any fuss. Running through the gears is a pleasure with smooth and solid shifts. The
engine sounds gorgeous and pulls surprisingly hard to its redline. No squeaks, no rattles, no shakes or shimmies.
The only non-stock or not period correct items are the tires and the radio.
This Jaguar needs absolutely nothing to show or drive. I encourage a thorough pre purchase inspection and will
make the car available prior to purchase.

Watch the trailer for Jaguar's short film staring the F-Type and Damian Lewis
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Jaguar continues to think well outside of the box when it comes to marketing it's new F-Type, now furthering plans for a short film which highlights the sexy roadster. Desire, featuring Damian Lewis (star of the hit series Homeland), Jordi Mollà (unforgettable in Bad Boys II) and Shannyn Sossamon (that girl you had a crush on for like a month in 2002 after you rented A Knight's Tale), Jaguar is clearly pulling out all the stops for this one. Well, nearly all the stops anyway - the "Ridley Scott Associates" billing isn't quite the same has having the man himself, if we're splitting hairs.
The short video below is still just a trailer for Desire - the full film will make its debut sometime in April, we're told. The sketched out plotlines tell us that Lewis' character Clark, "...delivers cars for a living, running into trouble after a chance encounter with a mysterious, young woman (Sossamon) in the middle of a lawless desert." The car looks good, at any rate.
Call us crazy, but the Desire trailer feels an awful lot like a spoof on the cool-but-overly-serious short films that BMW has done in this vein, already. Maybe we're just being cynical? Tell us what you think in comments after watching the clip.

Jaguar F-Type pitted against Porsche 911 Cabriolet by Tiff Needell
Wed, 24 Apr 2013You knew it wouldn't take long and it looks like EVO is first onto YouTube with a battle between the 2014 Jaguar F-Type and the 2013 Porsche 911. Tiff Needell spends a few laps warming up the tires (read: drifting like mad) in each droptop before getting in a timed run to see who's champion and who's second best.
Before the bell rings, its the Porsche that's got everything to lose, the 50-year-old era-defining sportscar getting on with a 3.4-liter flat-six, 350 horsepower, a seven-speed manual and a 3,197-pound curb weight. Other sportscars, like the F-Type, continue to eye the 911 like a flag atop Everest that they plan to first touch, and then rip from its socket. The mid-trim Jaguar rolls into the contest with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380 hp, an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters and a curb weight of 3,521 pounds.
The video below shows you what happens when you let all those numbers fight it out on the same stretch of curvy track. Check it out.
