A great example of the 1969 Series II XKE. I have owned this car since 2012, it has been garage kept and well
maintained. I have put about 10,000 miles on it since I purchased it nine years ago, it is great fun to drive and
has always been dependable.

Interior and special options- This particular example is a four speed
manual, a rare option for 2+2s, and sports special ordered factory chrome plated steel wheels (wire wheels were
standard) as well as a Phillips FM radio which still works. All instruments, lights, and gauges work as they should
with the exception of the clock. The upholstery and carpets are 100% original and are starting to show their age a
bit. while clean, the carpets are a bit worn. the driver's seat has some cracking but is still holding together
on the whole. the passenger's seat and rear seats have seen very little use, and as such are in great shape
with the exception of a small stain on the rear seat which was present when I purchased the car. The trunk area is
very clean with no issues to note, as is the dash, with no cracks or warping. The headliner is in astonishingly
good condition with no signs of delamination from the roof. Exterior- Earlier in this car's life it had been a
concourse queen,

The paint is older but is still looking very good with no sun
damage and minimal oxidation. there are odd chips here and there but nothing severe, most notable is the one on the
nose of the hood which happened recently, I wanted to get it repaired but my body shop of choice has a two year
waiting list for new projects, and I just couldn't wait that long to get the car sold. Unfortunately a few
months ago it suffered a full delamination of the driver's side rear tire, which caused numerous small chips on
the rear quarter, it isn't glaring but it will definitely need to be addressed at some point. There is
absolutely zero rust in this car. Mechanical- I have had very few mechanical issues with this car over the years.
It did just receive a new brake master cylinder, plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap last year and the clutch
slave cylinder was replaced a few years ago. There is no smoke on startup and no noticeable oil consumption. It has
been known to drip a little oil if it sits without running for a while, which is normal. The dual electric cooling
fans work as they should, and the carburetors have never been temperamental, which is a blessing. It does have a
factory R12 air conditioning system but it is in need of a charge and probably re-sealing, the blower fan works
fine. The tires are brand new with less than 200 miles on them

Jaguar to reveal small sedan at Paris show

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Small sedans are big business for luxury automakers. The C-Class is the top seller for Mercedes-Benz, much as the 3 Series is for BMW, but Jaguar has historically missed out on that market. Its last attempt, the X-Type, proved woefully inadequate, and Jaguar hasn't attempted to take on that market again since. But that's all about to change.
Coventry has been working on a new small Jaguar for some time now (using test mules like the one above wearing modified XF body panels), and according to the latest reports coming in from the UK, it will showcase the result of those efforts at the Paris Motor Show next October. The show car will take the form of a pre-production concept that is expected to preview the production version very closely before the final item is unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Tipped to be called XS (somewhat appropriately for the brand's smallest model), the new sedan is expected to be the first to use the company's new aluminum platform previewed by the C-X17. Expect styling to follow along similar lines to said crossover concept and the F-Type sportscar, with eventual sedan, wagon and coupe versions to round out the family.

Jaguar turns down offers to join V8 Supercars, questions AMG, Volvo participation

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Rumors have swirled in recent weeks that Jaguar may be the next manufacturer to join the V8 Supercars racing series, made popular in Australia but now well-known in other parts of the world as well. Sadly, Jag's participation is not to be. In fact, it would be "insane," according to Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific Managing Director David Blackhall, for it to accept either of the two offers it has received to bring Jaguar into V8 Supercars.
Not only is Jaguar not interested in entering V8 Supercars, says Blackhall, it also fails to understand the recent entries from AMG and Volvo. "I don't know what it does for AMG to get flogged by a V8 Commodore week after week, but it's their brand, their issue. And the same thing will happen to Volvo to be honest."
Judging by Blackhall's statements to motoring.com.au, after not-so-serious consideration, the automaker decided the monetary commitment it would take to compete for wins would be more than any potential exposure would be worth, despite the fact that Jaguar has a 5.0-liter V8 to go along with what would seem to be a tailor-made rear-wheel-drive chassis. For what it's worth, one offer would have had Jaguar putting its name across an engine made by someone else, an option that was flatly turned down.
