Jaguar XJ6

You are bidding on one of the most unique Jaguars that you will ever come across.  This Jaguar XJ6 is a well maintained coupe.  It was completed in 1993 from a body off bare shell restoration. From there it has been driven about 2835 miles.  During the restoration there were no short cuts taken with the rusty metal cut outs and replaced with full sheet metal.  All surfaces were prepared using Dupont Corlar Zinc Rich epoxy primer, topped with Dupont 99 Black acrylic lacquer.  Body panels are die-straight and panel fit is much better than factory. The interior is the original leather, re-dyed with the original Leatherique in the original russet color.  The door panels and carpets are all new as well as the rubber seats throughout.  The vinyl top is an original NOS item.  All the chrome was new or re-plated. The European spec SII XJ bumpers and lighting really unclutter the exterior.  The driver can feel the difference in the handling over a North American spec car with the extra weight of the crash bumpers at the extremeties that are now absent.  Mechanically, literally everything was gone through.  Suspension assembles were completely restored and even the brake calipers were disassembled, zinc- dichromate plated, and reassembled with new kits and pistons.  All the brake lines are stainless steel.  The engine is a S1 E-type spec 4.2 with 8:1 compression, triple HD8's, Si E-type camshafts and vacuum advance distributor, having standard bore, new rings and bearings, and a 1970 E-type cylinder head.  The transmission is a John's Cars GM TH350 Quarterbreed kit.  Trans was rebuilt including a Transgo shift kit-very crisp.  Exhaust is a Falcon Stainless Steel setup.  Cylinder head casting number is FY836, located at the rear of the valley after the last plug hole.  Engine number is 8L18533-i, and is original to the car.  Body number is 5J1381, and vin is UF2J50247BW. The carburetor has been recently gone through with new floats, needle/seat assemblies, jet diaphragms and a setup. Fuel pumps were replaced about 7 years back with new Burlen Fuel System unts.  It has a well maintained interstate battery in it.  The only thing that is not absolutely 100% is the air conditioning, which still has the oringinaal R12, and blows cold but weak.  But who needs air conditioning when you take this flawless car out for a cruise with the windows down.

This car is available to view and inspect in Paradise Valley, Arizona.  The car is "sold as is" no warranty's are implied.  There is a $2,000 non-refundable deposit which must be paid at end of auction. The buyer assumes all responsibility for shipping and destination charges. Full payment must be received before the car is released. If there are any questions about the car please fill free to send an email.

Jaguar XE bares its claws in 74 images [w/video]

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

The XE may prove to be the most vital new model to Jaguar's expansion. But to date we've only really seen it in top-spec, supercharged XE S form. That ends right here and now, however, as Jaguar releases details, photos and even a brief video clip showing the entire range - including those most customers are bound to buy.
Globally speaking - or at least in its home market - Jaguar will offer the XE with five different engines and in four different trim levels. The new Ingenium engine family includes two diesels and two turbocharged gasoline options along with the top-of-the-line supercharged V6 that will serve as the XE's performance flagship model, at least until a new SVR version comes along. Both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions are on offer, and overseas buyers will also be able to choose between base SE, mid-range Prestige, opulent Portfolio, dynamic R-Sport and range-topping S trim levels.
Of course not every engine is available in each trim level and with either transmission, so instead of 40 combinations we're looking at 22. Once the XE reaches American showrooms, we'll likely be looking at even fewer, as we're not expecting the manual and diesel versions to be offered Stateside. Stay tuned as well for our live impressions from the floor of the Paris Motor Show. But in the meantime you can scope out all the details and UK specifications in the press release below, along with the short video and the gallery of 74 high-resolution images above.

Jaguar sends off XK with limited-run Final 50 edition

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

The Jaguar XK coupe and convertible are pointed at the production sunset, and the cars that will end their retail lives in the US will be the dubbed the XK Final Fifty Limited Edition. As the name implies there will be fifty of them made, 25 of the fixed-roof variety, 25 of the droptop.
As the name doesn't imply, however, they'll be based on the XKR and be injected with liberal doses of XKR-S and XKR-S GT: the 510-horsepower V8 from the XKR will be mated to normally optional items like the Dynamic and Performance Packs, machined front suspension components from the XKR-S and a 10-millimeter lower ride height, the louvered hood from the XKR-S GT and Vortex 20-inch forged wheels. The sheetmetal gets a bath in Ultimate Black paint "with special trim" and badged door sill plates. Convertibles will come black roofs, but the Performance Active Exhaust will keep you apprised of the 5.0-liter V8 bellows no matter which car you choose.
They'll go into production this summer and hit dealerships in the fall. There's a lengthy press release below with more info on how this cat will sing its swan song.

2014 Jaguar XJR is large, in charge

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

There are few things in this world we love more than a huge, supersonic-feeling sedan, and Jaguar has just ripped the sheets off of its newest entry into that set of bruisers. The 2014 Jaguar XJR puts down a full 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque courtesy of a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. All that thrust lands on the rear tires through an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the big aluminum-chassis'd four door can sprint to 60 miles per hour in a skinny 4.4 seconds. Top speed sits at an electronically limited 174 mph, and Jaguar estimates the machine will still return up to 23 miles per gallon highway.
Do. Want.
The 2014 XJR also features stiffer spring and damper rates along with an electronically controlled rear differential. Of course, there are plenty of styling tweaks on hand to separate the most menacing XJ from the rest of the family. Those include new fascias, R emblems and massive 20-inch wheels outdoors as well as special seating and trim elements indoors. Asking price? That would Be $116,000 for the XJR and $119,000 for the long-wheelbase L version. Check out the full press blast below.
