Here is your chance to own a true time capsule and one of the most beautiful Jaguars ever built. This 1987 XJ6 is in pristine condition with beautiful wood accents, perfect Connolly leather and all electronics working perfectly - even the power antenna and mirrors. The car runs great and engine, transmission, brakes, etc. have all been checked by an experienced Jag mechanic and given high marks. Interior is perfect with a new headliner just installed. This classic could car be a daily driver with no issues at all. There are a few minor nicks in the original black paint but very few for a 26 year old car. AC works but does need a charge.
This car was purchased new by a gentleman in Seattle and babied for many years - always garaged and a non smoking car. The original sales docs and service records are still with the car. After he passed away, his daughter kept it for a few years and I purchased it from her. Now we have three cars and room for two and since we live in Colorado, the car that is not built for snow has to go. Jaguar designs Tour de France racing bike [w/video]
Sun, 01 Jun 2014Jaguar is known for designing luxury sedans, and it's known for designing GTs. But once in a while it dabbles in a new area of transportation design. It's working on its first crossover at the moment, and even did a speedboat concept a couple of years ago. Now it's turned its attention to bicycles.
While many automakers have designed bikes in the past, Jaguar's project has a bit more of a direct correlation. It's been working with Team Sky - the outfit that has won the Tour de France two years running now - since 2010, furnishing the team with support vehicles for bicycle races around the world. But now it's stepping its collaboration up a notch by redesigning the team's bike.
Working with frame manufacturer Pinarello, Jaguar took the existing Dogma 65.1 racing bike design back to the drawing board. Jaguar's designers and engineers reshaped the frame tubes, seat post, front fork, derailleur and all the components attached to the frame, each part streamlined for aerodynamic efficiency. They ran it through Jaguar's Computational Fluid Dynamics processor 300 times then verified the results in the wind tunnel.

In 2006, the current XK replaced the former XK8 and introduced a new aluminum-intensive chassis architecture to Jaguar's portfolio, and two years later, the XF whipped up a similar overhaul to its classical styling department.
The next major revision came in 2009, with the introduction of the achingly attractive and completely new XJ sedan, and this step struck us as the biggest improvement yet; not only was Jaguar's flagship built atop a cutting-edge platform, it boasted a newfound sense of style that pointed toward the future while still echoing the brand's storied past. This trend has continued most recently with the two-door F-Type that we've already grown quite fond of.

We've driven the XKR-S a number of times here at Autoblog (including a First Drive, Review and Quick Spin), so we weren't at all surprised to learn that blind drifting in the car is possible. But what is remarkable is the ease at which it happened. This, of course, can be credited as much to the car as to the driver, Steve Sutcliffe.
