1991 CLASSIC XJ6 Jaguar for sale. This is the hard to find Sovereign model, not the more common Vanden Plas. 133xxx original miles. In fact, of the 487 jaguars listed for sale on Ebay at the time of this posting, only two are Sovereigns. I am the third owner of this Sovereign and have driven this jag back and forth to work (50 miles/day) for the past 15 months or so. No problems. Never overheats. No leaks. No uncommon engine noises. No interior rattles. Air and heat works good. Drive train, exhaust, engine - no problems. This jaguar has a unique "sport" button on the center console that reconfigures the rpms and torque for fast get-aways. This will certainly squeel some rubber and turn some heads!
Classic black color with tan leather interior. Lots of chrome - grille, door handles, etc. No rust on the exterior. Tires have a lot of tread, probably 65 percent or so. This model is the one the Queen of England rides around in in the movies! There were only 57,000 Sovereign models made. NADA classifies this car as a "classic" and you can find its value as around $12000 for excellent, $7500 for good to very good, and $5500 for "fair" condition. I would classify this jag as "good" for the simple fact that it needs a professional buff to bring out the color on the top and trunk. The body is in very good condition with only one or two very minor dings on one side and a small blemish on the hood.
There are a few things that do not work on the car: The intermittant wiper works but not properly, the front fog lights I removed because they really dated the car (the wiring harness and bracket are still in place), the power locks do not work (needs new actuators), the little hydraulic lifts in the trunk have lost most of their spunk, an exterior light somewhere is not shining brightly enough which has caused an "idiot" light on the dash to show (little picture of a bulb), the driver's retractable shoulder strap is not working consistantly, the headliner is loose in the very back. Other than that . . . things are in good shape. I have spent several dollars in the past 18 months on these things: new brakes and rotors all around, new gas valve, new fuel pump, new power steering hoses and refill, new head gasket (was leaking), new oil valve (was leaking), new heater brushes and cleaning.
The car has no oil leaks and runs good. I have 5 cars (3 too many) and am just reducing inventory. It is a fun car to drive. I always wanted a jaguar, so I bought this one off an old fellow who had driven it for several years. It has a milage ALLOWANCE for relatively low miles for this age.
The price is right with a low starting bid and NO RESERVE. Hope you win!

Jaguar-Land Rover builds millionth vehicle at Halewood
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Jaguar-Land Rover is not what you'd call a volume automaker by any stretch of the imagination. But in the dozen years since it started manufacturing at its Halewood plant near Liverpool, England, the automaker has already built its millionth vehicle.
The landmark vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque, done up in white with red roof and mirrors, black wheels and a red and black interior. The crossover is set to be donated to Cancer Research UK, which will auction it off next year to help fund its projects in the north-west of the country.
Halewood started manufacturing the Jaguar X-Type in 2001, then went on to assemble the Land Rover LR2 / Freelander 2 before taking on production of the Evoque a year and a half ago. The facility reached the 300,000-unit milestone just last year as production moved to a 24-hour cycle for the first time in either marque's history.
Jaguar XE hits the 'Ring wearing swirly camo
Wed, 21 May 2014Jaguar is happy to show off its new XE sedan on its social media sites, but when testing at the Nürburgring, it's a very different story. These spy shots show the new model in camouflage to make it much harder to discern, but there are still some intriguing details to pick out.
These photos give us a really good look at the XE's quirky rear end. The sedan has a super short trunk that almost fools you into thinking its a notchback, but the top edge of the trunk is clearly visible. It's a somewhat odd-looking design with the rear glass running underneath the roof's overhang to create an integrated spoiler. Despite the camo, the front end is the same as ever with a blunt edge and sharp headlights. Jag certainly isn't afraid to try something a little different compared to the XE's competitors, notably the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.
Some technical details about the XE are already established. This 3 Series-fighter is slated to go on sale in foreign markets in 2015 and in the US in 2016. We know that it ride's on Jag's new aluminum platform that also underpins the C-X17 crossover concept, and power comes from a pair of 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines, available in petrol- or diesel-fueled configurations.
Wacky Jaguar crossover mule is a mind-blowing mashup
Tue, 03 Dec 2013As Jaguar prepares to introduce its first-ever utility vehicle, our spy shooters have captured this jacked-up XF mule out testing. While a production Jaguar crossover will surely resemble something closer to the recent C-X17 Concept, we can't help but think that the automaker could sell at least a few of these lifted, four-wheel-drive sedans.
Other than proving that Jaguar is hard at work developing this new model using a cobbled-together body, there are some details we can put together about this luxury CUV. For one it's about the same length as an XF, while the ride height is obviously taller and the tire track wider. We're not sure what the rig on top of this mule is for, but the whole car has us reminiscing about the old sedan versions of the Subaru Outback and the AMC Eagle (with a luxury spin, of course).
