Up for sale is my 2001 Jaguar XJ8, Vanden Plas with 93k miles. I'm the second owner of this exceptional vehicle. You will not find a better maintained or cleaner vehicle anywhere. Both MD and VA state inspections and emmissions tests recently. New tires, brakes and shocks along with new oxygen sensor. The car is 100% and everything works as it should. The car is in fact green...looks blue in the sun and green when shaded. Very unique and rare color makes this car a real looker. The Vanden Plas model is the top of the line JAGUAR and is fully equipped and retailed for over $80,000.00 new. This is the finest engineered automobile I've ever driven, must see to appreciate and not all XJ8 sedans measure up to this one. Condition is everything and mine speaks for itself. This is the longest wheelbase ever for Jaguar and the back seat area is very large, almost like a limo. This sedan sits low to the ground and is powered by a very responsive 4.0 V-8 engine and 5 speed automatic transmission. A genuine high performance sedan that drives with a sports car feel. I get looks everywhere I go with this awesome ride. Just purchased a truck so must find her a new home. This is affordable performance and luxury at it's best. Good luck bidding.

Here's what a front-row seat looked like in 2014 Mille Miglia
Tue, 26 Aug 2014From 1927 to 1957, the Mille Miglia was one of the great, romantic European road races of the golden era of motorsports. The cars were fast, beautiful and loud but also extremely dangerous and regularly claimed drivers' lives. After two fatal accidents in '57, the event finally had to reform and came back in 1977 as a historic rally held over the course of several days. That didn't make things boring, though, and Xcar found that out firsthand with a front-row seat to this year's race in a 2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe.
Xcar was actually following the Jaguar team this year that included Ian Callum and Jay Leno in an XK120, which we previously got a glimpse of when it was covered on Jay Leno's Garage. Where Leno focuses on a more personal story of competing, this one takes a more macro view. You really get an idea of how crazy the Mille Miglia still is, and while the F-Type is way too new to actually compete in the rally, it can still wear an event sticker and drive with the vintage racers.
One amazing fact about today's Mille Miglia is that if you're competing in the event, there are basically no rules. The roads are technically still open to traffic, but the police shut down intersections and provide a rolling roadblock. Xcar's F-Type alternated between following on the course with the classics and snipping off chunks of the route to watch the participants arrive at each stop. Check out the video to experience fantastic historic rally.
2014 Jaguar F-Type
Wed, 17 Apr 2013Stepping Into The Lion's Den With A Big-Hearted Cat
If you're like me - and our demographics suggests you are - you've probably never seen a new Jaguar sportscar at your local showroom. I'm 36, and it hasn't happened in my lifetime... and not by a little bit. Oh, there have been a string of XK coupes and convertibles, and as of late, there have even been some genuine high-performance specials - namely the R, R-S and R-S GT models - but their basis has always been the 2+2 grand tourer shell, not a lighter and smaller footprint with more intrinsic sporting intent. The truth is that it's been a half-century since Jaguar introduced a proper new sportscar. Today, most people know the brand strictly as a purveyor of wood- and hide-lined luxury sedans.
In fact, if you're not an enthusiast with some appreciation for the marque's history, it's a bit odd to hear Jaguar executives proclaim that they are a sportscar company and always have been. By their reckoning, the 2014 F-Type seen here is in fact a return to form, a Rip Van Winkled brand pillar reanimated and reimagined to take center stage. It's a sentiment that must be particularly odd for car shoppers in developing markets like China, where Jaguar hasn't even been selling cars for very long. Yet because the original 1961 E-Type is perhaps the most gorgeous car ever to lay ply on the world's roads, we're prepared to cut them some slack.
