1991 Jaguar Xjs Convertible on 2040-cars
Colerain, Ohio, United States
1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible V12 Automatic with 72,982 actual miles. The car is red with a black convertible top and tan interior. The car is equipped with power windows, power door locks, a/c, power top, heated seats, power antenna, and remote key fobs. The car runs and drives great. It will need the front tires replaced. The rear tires are about 50%. Everything on the car works with the exception of the air conditioning. The A/C blows cold, but it blows out the lower heater ducts and the defrost ducts and not out the dash vents. The car presents well from 10 feet. Upon closer inspection, their are a few scratches that have been touched up as well as a few small dents/dings. The only rust on the body is the very back edge of one rocker panel (right in front of the rear wheel). The passenger rear quarter panel has some clear peeling where it meets the bumper. The leather seats could use a more thorough cleaning. The convertible top was replaced. However, someone put a bead of silicone at the bottom of the rear window. I am selling the car for my father-in-law so please call him with questions at 740-296-6545. He took the car as partial trade for another car he was selling. The car is being sold as is where is and the reserve is reasonable but will not be revealed. The buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. Please do not bid if you have no intention of following through with the sale. Good luck.

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee season 2 opens with Sarah Silverman and Jag E-Type
Sat, 15 Jun 2013Season Two of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee kicked this week in style. How much more style is there to be had than in a 1969 Jaguar XKE, after all? This time around, Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman spend some time driving around in the "slinky, sexy" Jag, talking comedy and then grabbing breakfast.
In addition to the kickoff of the show's second season, this episode also represents the start of a 24-episode sponsorship with Acura. The original deal promised short ads at the beginning and end of each episode, but this time around, Seinfeld "stumbles upon" a 2014 Acura RLX, which is obviously - and admittedly - the work of product integration. Scroll down to watch Seinfeld and Silverman exchange banter with the Jag's beauty as a happy backdrop.
Jaguar to expand Jaguar XKR-S GT production run?
Wed, 10 Apr 2013According to a report in Autocar, demand for the Jaguar XKR-S GT is such that the English company could nearly double production from 30 to 50 cars. Such inflation can often incense those have already put deposits down, worried that they've both been lied to about the potentially diminished values of their cars, but Jaguar has made the announcement barely a day after the XKR-S GT was revealed and 50 still isn't that many vehicles.
Nothing in the Autocar report indicates the additional examples will not come to America, making the 500-horsepower superfast coupe a treat we can still call all our own. Jaguar didn't add horsepower but instead honed other aspects of the car to produce a GT that can lap the 'Ring nearly as quickly as a Ferrari 458 Italia, and the world should be the beneficiary, the company's brand director saying, "The real beauty of this project has been that it has extended our understanding of the elements involved in making a car go so fast, and that will feed back into all our road car programs." Sounds good to us.
Jaguar readying a pop-top F-Type Coupe? [w/poll]
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Typically convertibles are spun off of coupes, but sometimes it goes the other way. Like the Porsche Cayman that was based on the Boxster, the Lotus Exige spun off of the Elise, and the Jaguar F-Type, which arrived as a roadster before the coupe debuted. But if the latest reports are to be believed, Jaguar could be planning something in between.
According to Auto Express (which has, mind you, been known to stretch the rumors out some), Jaguar is toying with the idea of offering a partial convertible version of the F-Type - something Porsche would call a Targa (and which we would too if Stuttgart weren't so litigiously protective of the name). The additional roof configuration would give the F-Type three body-styles, giving its customers more choices.
It wouldn't be the only sports car to offer three roof options: There's the Porsche 911, of course. Ferrari once offered GTB, GTS and Spider versions of the 348 and 355. The Chevy Corvette has been offered in all three forms, as was the Pontiac Solstice many moons ago. But that kind of variety in roof configurations has become scarce. Jaguar's decision reportedly depends on whether it can make the business case or not. Do you think there'd be enough demand for a lift-roof F-Type?
